I just bought an Electra One and it's on the way. I'm def going to use DrivenByMoss. I've currently got it setup on my Akai APC40Mkii, which I'm retiring for the Electra.

How difficult would it be to "customize" a page in DrivenByMoss with different parts from other pages on the Electra?
For example, I'd like to have "home page" that has Volume and Pan at the top, with Select/Mute/and or Solo under them, then for the bottom part of the page, have the device remotes. And possibly the BPM on one of the right side encoders.

Thanks

It's tricky! It should be possible to rearrange them on one page but you also need to make sure that the internal IDs are kept intact.

Dear Jürgen,
just a quick question if this stuff is (still) on your list (everything is refering to your awesome OSC Script):
- ability to use EQ5 instead of EQ+ with the osc script :) [would still be awesome, despite the latest efforts of Bitwig, which now add latency]

- Option to reset the /crossfade to 0 via /reset address for a button would be great! Right now, the center of the fader is either -0.79 or +0.79db, never 0.0db, due to the innate limitations of a value-range-scale which has no absolute zero-point. Thus a reset button would be essential (just like with the /eq gain and q parameters) for live performances.

Or even better: implementing Bitwigs new way of handling the zero-point in its generic script since 5.0.7 into the OSC script: "When adjusting bipolar controls (e.g. pan, crossfade) from a MIDI controller, it is now always possible to hit the center value [32854]" :) This would make reset buttons obsolete, as the 64 would always be the center.

- could you please make it possible to select bank size and restart the osc script via remote control? I know this might be a weird feature request for normal controllers, but it would be 100% useful for using a really in-depth touch control-surface for Bitwig. For example: I built a Loopstation for Bitwigs Cliplauncher, which uses 12 Tracks in Bitwig to record into. This Loopstation is on page 1 of my control surface. Page 2 contains a huge Mixer of 20 Tracks though, needing a different bank size to properly go through bankpages. Adjusting Bank size and restarting the script manually while Bitwigs playback is running never had any negative effect, lag, dsp spike etc. for me, so it seems like it would work very smoothly on the fly.

- could you please reconsider introducing full control over all 8 track remotes of each track, instead of just the currently selected track? I remember you said, this would lead to too many messages and you don't like that, but i didn't yet understand if this would have serious impact on the performance, if only some tracks even have track remotes active? For example i only have track remotes on tracks 1 to 3, and 8 to 14, on my 20 Track bank size. I'd love to adjust them without switching through tracks individually  And i had the idea  maybe if you'd add some sort of "getter" function, where the osc script has to specifically ask for those informations to be sent on each track, too many messages could be prevented? Or a on/off button in the preferences for having full track remote control, turned off by default. :)

- adress for this "restore automation control" button would be nice :D (to have LED feedback for that)

And a little update concerning the dream of /clip_playback_progress : i 'm still asking bitwig for that, and after communicating with the touch designer people from derivative, i found out, that they also would like to see it, and they will ask Bitwig about it :) So that increases the hope
Have a nice day !

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if the audio interface of Push3 works on Linux, say with Ubuntu + BWS?

Thanks.

On the Electra. One session view page, is it possible to just record a clip by pressing it? I see I can play the clip, but in BW when record armed, when you press a blank clip button it starts recording. It works on the APC40/etc. Is it possible to have this functionality, or is it there and I'm missing it?
Thanks

I have no updates to what I wrote. Some of your wishes are on my todo list but this is currently insane :-) The "restore automation control" feedback is not available in the API (if I remember correctly).

It helps a lot if you clearly describe your question in more than a half sentence. It seems you are asking about note editing for the Launchpad. See the section "Note Edit Mode" in the Launchpad chapter of the DrivenByMoss manual.

Only the chance option appears. In Hawting's script, the repetitions appear
