I just now downloaded and installed it from my account - is VManager even needed?

Just click the download installer button in V Man, which will give you the latest version. In Avenger itself, click the SYS tab, and the version number is displayed at the bottom there.Opaloka1974 wrote: Thu Nov 30, 2023 11:14 am Thanks for your reply but how do I upgrade to version 2.02 and is there a way to show the version of VPS that the DAW is running.

I've never used VMan. I've always been able to just use the separate installers going all the way back several years to version 1.
The version 2 upgrade was no different. Download the installer and run it. Drag and drop the Factory 2 content on the GUI. No need for VMan here.
But I'm on Windows so maybe it is needed for Macs.

I am also on windows- I had an issue with licencing a few pages back (said write protected and didn't authorise) but when I installed VManager it went away....may have just been me!Teksonik wrote: Thu Nov 30, 2023 12:39 pm I've never used VMan. Thank you. I imagine a SYS setting where a preferred voice stealing option can be selected from current state, to new state where where voice stealing does not occur with the sustain pedal. Bitwig instruments offer a voice stealing option on their native devices which I like.msvs wrote: Wed Nov 29, 2023 8:56 pmthen we will have a look into thisolepro wrote: Wed Nov 29, 2023 8:18 pmManuel, he is rightmsvs wrote: Wed Nov 29, 2023 12:09 pm voice stealing always kills the oldest note, preferable one which is in the release phase, not sustain/held. What would you change with that (correct) behaviour?
did you try raising the voice limit to 64?
This behavior is not right. When you repeat the same notes with the sustain pedal activated, the notes are re-triggered, as if it were a mono synth, even if there is enough polyphony.
If you release the sustain pedal, it works as it should, without re-triggering the notes.
I don't have other synths that do this unless you deliberately set it to re-trigger the notes.
Thanks again for looking into this. I've been using VPS Avenger for 4 years now and it's been the only featuring that's kept me going back to UVI Falcon, but I much prefer to use Avenger. I kinda hoped voice stealing was corrected in Avenger 2.0 which is why I'm addressing it now. Best Regards!

Anyone else unable to open a saved FL Studio projects? It only started to happen after installing Avenger 2. Project in FL Studio seems to be loading but just before it's open, the entire FL Studio closes down (dissapears from the taskbar (Windows 10) without any notification whatsoever). Was able to recover one of the versions of the song project by using FL Studio "Diagnostics" tool and removing some instances of VPS Avenger 2, but then after saving it and re-openig that saved file it crashes again. On one occasion I got the below error but usually FL Studio just closes down immediately before the project is just about to finish loading, and shuts down the .exe without any message
I have never-ever experienced that problem with either FL Studio or Avenger 1 before the upgrade (currently running v2.02)

Just download from the manager and install as normal.Opaloka1974 wrote: Thu Nov 30, 2023 11:14 am Thanks for your reply but how do I upgrade to version 2.02 and is there a way to show the version of VPS that the DAW is running.
You can find the version number that you are running by clicking the system tab in the lower part of the plugin.

I Installed v2 today and all own presets and third party expansions are gone. V_Manager is pointed to the correct location but it "sees" only the AVPX original expansions there. The third party expansions have no avxp file but have folder structure, also "my own presets" is a folder and not an avxp..
How can i get those back in? Thanks for help!

Are you 100% sure it's the right location and not one folder level out? First time I did it it had added an extra subfolder for Expansions that it put the new library in - it looked right on the file path but it wasn't. I took it out of the erroneous extra subfolder, and repointed it at the next level back, and then everything appeared.chrisg wrote: Thu Nov 30, 2023 2:30 pm I Installed v2 today and all own presets and third party expansions are gone. The V_Manager "sees" the original expansions in the pointed folder = it is pointed to the correct folder. Those original expansions appear in the V-Manager then, though i still have to drop them again on the plugin to appear there. But all the third party expansions and my own presets neither appear in the V-Manager nor in the plugin.

3rd party expansions won't ever appear in V Man. The business about dropping on the plugin makes no sense to me at all. I'd email Rene at support, it sounds kinda like a screwy install to me.chrisg wrote: Thu Nov 30, 2023 2:53 pm The V_Manager "sees" the original expansions in the pointed folder = it is pointed to the correct folder. It didn't work correctly for me on Windows, specifically plugin presets were missing. I see they have some new import option for that now in 2.0.2Teksonik wrote: Thu Nov 30, 2023 12:39 pm I've never used VMan.
