Working on both a desktop computer and a laptop, I'm installing virtual instrument data (samples and such) on a shared drive, W.
I then point the data to the same directory when I'm setting up the instrument on the other computer.
This works with most instruments.
However, it doesn't seem to work with MSoundFactoryLE:
I select the correct paths for MDrummer Factory Path (W:/MeldaProduction/MDrummer) and MSoundFactory Sample Path (W:/MeldaProduction/MSoundFactory).
But the plugin doesn't scan the directorys to find what has been installed.
So I have to re-download and overwrite on W. This is a waste of time, bandwidth and SSD durability.
Is there a way to avoid this? Can I copy some setting files somewhere to let MSoundFactory LE that everything was already installed?

Aaaha, well, it doesn't work like that. These paths contain the big data - samples, multisamples... But the actual instruments are user data on each computer and need to stay there I'm afraid. So you need to install these on the other computer too. Or copy them from one to another. I cannot dive into the details, but there are good reasons for this.

A cursory testing lets me believe I succeeded, by duplication the following files from source computer to target computer.
All under c:\users\username\AppData\Roaming\MeldaProduction
\MSoundFactoryInstruments\
\Data\
\Downloader\
\InstalledProducts\
