Can someone explain the DAC section the Chipsound MD to me? I've read the manual, but I'm still not sure what it should do. Is it just a slice sampler? What's the use case? It seems not to be playable chromatically by midi input.

Its just a slice sampler. The DAC mode of FM ch6 on Genesis soundtracks was only used for sound effects and drums in like 99% of soundtracks.

David hope you might consider an Amiga 500 emulator or something. Markus from Tone2 seemed to be a great possibility to make something like that but sadly Tone2 wont release new products :/.

Is there a way to donate? I want to support your work, and OPS7 is one of my favorite plugins. The bit crusher effect is also neat.

I‘m intrigued. This sounds like a bit-accurate Paula would just be the beginning.

A relatively good Paula is already in chipsounds along with the whole ST-01 soundset - its not that complex of a chip TBH). But adding your own samples is not trivial and is unsupported. Without spilling too many (early) beans, our vision is something that goes way beyond PAULA. But its something a few years down the road. We have 3 chipsynths to ship before. But again, the order of releases change constantly due to various factors.
