Hmm, I'm subscribed and haven't gotten an update.

I was ready to buy it on day one of release, but if it's Early Access and lacks some "usability features" maybe I will wait and see what's not finished yet.

Beta 3 for macos should be released this week. Then maybe the first windows beta.

i'll jump in right away i'm sure.. early access or not.

i was also already subscribed to the email list but resubscribed and that email came to me right away.

No. There will be some kind of early release according to posts in this thread of emails from randy/madrona labs. If you check the few pages previous to this one there’s details there

Ah, just got an update without having to resubscribe. Maybe I will buy it on day one after all, if the list of unfinished stuff is as innocent-looking as described there.

They didn't do an intro price for Virta when it came out. I'll probably just wait until there's another sale, if not.
