In my anticipation to try this, I found the Chipcrusher 2 - wow, now that is how to do a degrader. Blows away Decimort and TAL and has me eyeing my Emax. If the C64 one is as comprehensive and solid, it’ll be hard to resist.
Just gutted I missed the Black Friday offers!

I also recommend the crusher from Toneboosters and Tritik's Krush Pro. Krush Pro is worth it for the filters, distortion, and ring modulation.gunark wrote: Sun Dec 10, 2023 2:38 pm In my anticipation to try this, I found the Chipcrusher 2 - wow, now that is how to do a degrader. Seems like a nerdy approach to the clone. Like that attention to detail. Just one thing is holding me off. Can the gui be resized? I would like to see what is going on without reading glasses.

Fully vectorial yes. Its in the settings menu, from 25% to 200%GearNostalgia wrote: Sun Dec 10, 2023 5:38 pm Seems like a nerdy approach to the clone. Like that attention to detail. David, what would be the easiest way to switch arp chords in the stepsequencers? My thinking: Using frames controlled by CC's. But if you want to use 4 note chords instead of 3, then you have to CC the loop point also i guess, since the loop value is global per stepseq?

Erm right it wasn't designed for multiple dynamic frames of different sizes/loops.Charlie Firpo wrote: Sun Dec 10, 2023 7:45 pm David, what would be the easiest way to switch arp chords in the stepsequencers? No choice but to use two instances then.

Thanks for the reply. I tried using cc to control the loop end and it seems to work. That means you can switch between 3 or 4 steps with a little work. Will try it more in depth tomorrow.

Oh true, there are always ways to fully control stuff that way or using parameter automation.Charlie Firpo wrote: Sun Dec 10, 2023 11:25 pm Thanks for the reply. Glad you found a creative solution.

Surprised this doesn't have more replies.
Does this have dynamic saturation?

Just bought chipsynth C64 and I'm loving it. It sounds fantastic and is well worth the asking price, imho.
I've only just started playing with it, however I have noticed a very minor bug, where at least one of the factory patch presets doesn't fully recall the correct parameter settings, when saved within projects.
Tested using FL Studio 21 (latest release).
1. Load preset: "Modern Plucks > Classic Octaves".
2. Then save the project, exit and reload the project.
3. Upon reopening the project, the: "Mods > Step" settings will not be fully recalled.
I've only noticed it happening with that patch so far, although there may be others. But apart from that teething issue, the rest of this plugin seems to be working great. Looking forward to diving deeper and using this great-sounding SID synthesizer clone.
Oh and BTW, since the download is not currently available directly on the website. Will any patched updates also be emailed to customers, until the downloads are available from the website?
Thanks!

Urgh reproduced. Thanks for spotting this.MrJubbly wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 2:35 pm 3. Upon reopening the project, the: "Mods > Step" settings will not be fully recalled.
We usually do a round of critical fixes in the same version as the demo, so I guess that answers the other question?
Thanks.

More details: it affects only 2% of shipping presets, but they need to be repaired in an update.
In the mean time, if you find an instance of this, just click in the step editor that doesn't resave right (eg: change a value and put it back) it _should_ then get recalled correctly. Sorry again.

It even has presets from games like Zak McCracken, Maniac Mansion, Giana Sisters, Karate Kid (?) and many others! I hope someone creates a huge preset pack with more games. So much fun!
If you plan on purchasing your first Universal Audio hardware, you can get a free additional plugin. Just send a PM.
