I was looking forward to the release of V.10 expecting it to be groundbreaking ...
Another couple of surprise classic synths, maybe another Roland, PPG Wave (maybe in a later release), some quirky 70's emulation would have been welcome, but the new additions are fine.
I am mostly interested in the rebuild of the Mini, which is good to see. Some great presets and it does sound better than V.3. But, I am missing the motion recorder/curve editor with 4 destinations and the vocal filter, which I did make use of - those worked well. V.4 is a down-grade with one function and 2 destinations.
Nice to have the VCF bass compensation button for a big resonant low end.
I also like the originality and look of how they employ the modulation and fx sections in their emulations, think Matrix 12 and DX7. I have got use to each one, but they seem to be making them all look similar after a rebuild.
The Mini V.4 also seems (purposely?) out of focus on my M1 Mac?
I've never had any complaints about their pricing, I just wait for a sale.
Grumbles aside though, the Mini V.4 sounds fantastic!
As a comparison my fav. is the Moog Model D, I mean they had to get their own version sounding and looking authentic. But I may jump ship sound wise with the new Mini V.4.

Have you sold any Arturia plugins lately?EnGee wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 11:04 am Strange! I have logged in today and can't find my VC9 license! Arturia has removed it?!! Anyway, let's see their support what answer they have! I found the other license, but only this one has gone! So, all the instruments belong to it are demo now!
I know some of them are tied to the V-Collection if you got the plugin for a cheaper price so if you sell it you also sell your V-Collection license with it.
Or if you upgraded your V-Collection and sold the version before it that you used to upgrade to the latest V-Collection.

I bought it 2nd hand not from them.HiEnergy wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 12:17 pm Just checked with mine. It's right in place where it belongs. Just with a sticker next to it, telling me I may upgrade at lower prices (nudge, nudge)...
Just log in again later and keep smashing that F5 key.
They can't take from you what you've bought.
Well, I sold VC9 some time ago then I bought it from the 2nd hand market here in KVR on the 27th of August. And I registered it successfully and was using it for all this time except maybe last two weeks. Anyway, I remember that yesterday I updated MiniFreak but I haven't noticed anything. I haven't checked other software! MiniFreak I bought it separately and it is still there (so as Pigments, Acid V and FX3 ..etc).D-Fusion wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 12:23 pm Have you sold any Arturia plugins lately?

I wrote to their support asking about it. Maybe the license I bought was stolen?! And someone reclaimed it?! I don't know, but Arturia should have told me about it! We'll see! I had good experiences with Arturia, so let's see if their support will solve it.
Thank you guys for your posts. I don't want to hijack the thread, so let's discuss what you like in Version 10, which I don't think I will upgrade even if they return to me my license! I already have MF2 and Acid V. The piano won't be that useful for me, nor the woodwind instrument. I really thought they would make Kawai K5 (or K4, the additive synth) emulation or/and Vintage drums, but nothing of that!
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Unless someone decides it was a pricing error, of course

The problem with these large collections is there's bound to be stuff that you don't need or want. I have no use for electric pianos or brass samples etc. I think I counted 14 things in the collection I don't want or need so the cost per item I do want goes up.
Here's an idea..."Pick 10" for around $150. Pick any 10 Arturia plugins you want, instruments or effects. You get what you want and nothing you don't.
I'd be interested in such a deal but right now my "upgrade" price is $399 even though I do own a few Artura plugins and all I have to say to Arturia is....ain't gonna happen....

From my perspective addition freak and acid is great for the package, great sounding updated mini, however, currently owning V9, I'll pass on it for $199. While the price isn't terrible for three synths, it just doesn't seems attractive enough for me.

You know when you play a real hardware analog synth, and you hear something special in it that you can't quite describe, but you're sure it's there?
Well, I'm getting those vibes off the MiniV4 and it's the first time a softsynth has done that for me.

Yeah, who knows. Might be about time for me to drop off the Arturia bandwagon.hurricaneaudiolab wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 10:12 pmYou're forgetting Woodwinds.
Anyway, I don't understand their pricing - I"d get CP-70, Augmented Piano, Augmented Brass, Augmented Woodwinds, AND Minifreak for the same price ($149).

Totally agree that a new thread is needed. As a self proclaimed forum cop (sure, I'll proclaim that here - why not) I can't stand when speculation threads are continued after a product is launched. It's like "great, read through 38 pages of speculation to get to the date where the product was launched and people have real opinions". So thank you for creating this.briefcasemanx wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 6:13 pm ________________________________________
I'm sorry but the PREDICTION thread made a year ago isn't a substitution for a real release thread.
I'm sure there are weird, controlling thread police members that are VERY upset that someone had the audacity to make a new thread for a new product release.
Also, as the unofficial forum police: please update the thread title to Artruria V Collection X since that's how the product is actually branded. Calling it V-Collection 10 makes it look like a pre-release speculation thread since the produce is called V-Collection X.

Ok, so the consensus is that the new Mini sounds great. Anyone disagree? A bass compensating option in the filter does sound like a nice differentiator.
How about the Wurli? The old one was awful at sounding like a real Wurli. Any electric piano snobs want to chime in on the new one and the new CP70? Do we think these are based on Pianoteq?
Nothing else really appeals to me. I've got the 303. Microfreak just doesn't entice me. Even the new Wurli I'm more curious about than actually intending on using (I've got a real one, and I still think the Acoustic Samples VReeds is more than close enough when it comes to a virtual Wurli).
While the upgrade is underwhelming to me, they definitely improved two of their weakest products and added some new stuff to the bundle. At $99 I'd bite. $149? Not so much. But it's still not a bad upgrade IMO. Just not essential to this plugin collector.

Solved it. The problem was with the 'silent install' in advanced settings. I unticked that & installed it manually it now works. Same happened for the Wurli & MIniV4noiseboyuk wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 9:04 pmYeah, give that a try. Just installed on the 13.5 Macbook here and it's solid.ians wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 8:19 pmI'm on a Mac. Think I've had this problem before.
