It's a country I refuse to buy or sell with in any form because of him. And unsubscribing often just generates more spam as he appears to sell your data to others.

It looks like the current IK bundle deal for Modo Bass 2/Modo Drum 1.5 at $129 differs from what is offered at jrrshop.
jrrshop has IK Multimedia MODO MAX: MODO Bass + MODO Drum at $129 without mention of version numbers.
Is the jrrshop bundle for the previous versions?

IK’s policy is strange - they don’t seem to know upgrade pricing in the sales. If you own the ver 1, no incentive to purchase the ver 2.

It's a very deliberate choice on their part. Peter from IK has defended it despite many complaints.

Modo Bass 2 doesn't sound significantly better than 1 IMO---in fact what they added sounds bad. It also adds a bunch of midi patterns, but I have plenty of those from other sources (Ujam, etc.), and I imagine high-quality AI-generated bass guitar midi will be available soon (without any worries about erroneous ContentID etc. issues).

Just to ask for confirmation from other users...

...but I'm pretty sure I unsubscribed from anything Wusik many years ago already. I even went ahead and reported the re-use of my email address that went from newsletter engine to newsletter engine. Multiple times!

Anybody else got new mails (I'm currently up to 3 at this point), sent through the phplist engine and the server wusikfiles dot com, not even talking about a sale (which is currently happening), but straight up asking you to become a Patron through either Patreon or "Buy Me A Coffee"? (asking to exceed the often mentioned 1k/month income)

...and of course unsubscribing doesn't work. The engine says "you'll get an email shortly" (basically a 2-step confirmation), and nothing arrives.

My understanding is that this is a common complaint. Even if he responds to emails he returns to the behaviour again.

He gave the reason as having a mental illness and was specific in that he has Borderline Personality Disorder. While he has my sympathy regarding that, it's a particularly miserable disorder to have, repeated spamming is not related to any of the symptoms of that disorder and so there is really no excuse.

Yep. The experience alerted me to their ways. I see there's a reason why the reich, embezzlers and murders flee there now.
Have also become quite aware of unnecessarily paranoid governments where they screen throttle every Internet action. I still may buy from a good developer, but have noticed downloading from them during certain current events have been frustrating and tortuous. (#1 on that list is Turkey.)

I had the same problem with Hornet plugins for about 1.5 year, though I have to be honest I have not received any for a couple of months now.

I usually do not unsubscribe from places I have subscribed to, but when you get spammed way too often it is an insta-byebye from me.

I'm pretty sure there was a rewrite, or significant overhaul in the code, going from v1 to v2. I don't know if you'd get the older version but I'd bet you do.
