I would like to know this too. I believe in the past the image was a bit different between different versions of the same instrument, but it seems that's no longer the case with the latest analog lab. The arturia preset filtering is powerful enough you'd think they would have a tag for when/what version a preset was introduced into the factory bank, or a date added sort column or something. I hope I'm missing something here.seangm wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 7:09 pmHow do you filter by the Mini 4 patches? I updated to the latest Analog Lab and only see a way to sort by "Mini" but I have no idea how to find the Mini 4 patches. Thanks.noiseboyuk wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 5:36 pmYou have Analog Lab Pro, right? Just update it - there's a good lot of Wurli and Mini 4 patches. In the case of the Wurli, you barely need the full version tbh.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 4:35 pm Ok, so the consensus is that the new Mini sounds great. Anyone disagree? A bass compensating option in the filter does sound like a nice differentiator.
How about the Wurli? The old one was awful at sounding like a real Wurli. Any electric piano snobs want to chime in on the new one and the new CP70? Do we think these are based on Pianoteq?
Nothing else really appeals to me. I've got the 303. Microfreak just doesn't entice me. Even the new Wurli I'm more curious about than actually intending on using (I've got a real one, and I still think the Acoustic Samples VReeds is more than close enough when it comes to a virtual Wurli).
While the upgrade is underwhelming to me, they definitely improved two of their weakest products and added some new stuff to the bundle. At $99 I'd bite. $149? Not so much. But it's still not a bad upgrade IMO. Just not essential to this plugin collector.

These are just named Mini.seangm wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 7:09 pm How do you filter by the Mini 4 patches? I updated to the latest Analog Lab and only see a way to sort by "Mini" but I have no idea how to find the Mini 4 patches. Thanks.
If you filter by Mini, then you get all the patches for v3 and v4. If you put Instrument as one field, then you can sort to just show the v4 (named simply Mini).

Wouldn't that likely be the case for the CP-70 too?noiseboyuk wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 5:36 pmYou have Analog Lab Pro, right? Just update it - there's a good lot of Wurli and Mini 4 patches. Sadly no - it's just the Mini, Wurli and Acid. No Augmenteds or CP70 because of reasons.
Still well worth having for those 3 though. How many patches do you need for the Wurli after all?

Thanks, it took me a while to find where "INSTRUMENT" is since it's not displayed by default. If anyone else is wondering, look for the hamburger menu (should be next to "BANK") and click it and select "INSTRUMENT".noiseboyuk wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 7:37 pmThese are just named Mini.seangm wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 7:09 pm How do you filter by the Mini 4 patches? Yeah the Mini V is nice but I wouldn't be able to find a reason to use it over Model 72 or Legend. Maybe that the mono mode works without glitching and wrong pitches in mpe.Vortifex wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 8:30 pm It's weird what they've done to Mini V. They improved the sound but stripped it of the functionality that made it unique, so now I have to compare it differently. Model 72 is more immediate in its simplicity, plus I can hide the pointless keyboard, but it lacks effects or anything beyond basic modulation. The Legend lacks Arturia's graphics bloat and makes good use of the available space on the GUI, has more polyphony, but also has minimal effects and modulation options.
So if I upgrade I get a synth that sounds on par with its competitors and beats them in terms of functionality, but is functionally worse than V3 and IMO visually worse than all the others.

DoneFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 4:27 pmTotally agree that a new thread is needed. As a self proclaimed forum cop (sure, I'll proclaim that here - why not) I can't stand when speculation threads are continued after a product is launched. It's like "great, read through 38 pages of speculation to get to the date where the product was launched and people have real opinions". So thank you for creating this.briefcasemanx wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 6:13 pm ________________________________________
I'm sorry but the PREDICTION thread made a year ago isn't a substitution for a real release thread.
I'm sure there are weird, controlling thread police members that are VERY upset that someone had the audacity to make a new thread for a new product release.
Also, as the unofficial forum police: please update the thread title to Artruria V Collection X since that's how the product is actually branded. Calling it V-Collection 10 makes it look like a pre-release speculation thread since the produce is called V-Collection X.![]()
