If you can't source or locate your own sounds, you are either too lazy or have too many samples. Does the AI algorithm get co production rights for suggesting the samples to use?

Demand for listeners is starting to exceed demand for creators.
What we need most is an AI that is good at listening.
(BTW I asked Coproducer to generate my new album - and boy, do I suck

He tends to use that as an excuse and reason to continue rather than make any progress in change though. I would also suggest anyone considering doing business with him read any online description of the abuse cycle and see how much that aligned with his "marketing".ChamomileShark wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 3:38 pmMy understanding is that this is a common complaint. ...but I'm pretty sure I unsubscribed from anything Wusik many years ago already. I even went ahead and reported the re-use of my email address that went from newsletter engine to newsletter engine. Multiple times!
Anybody else got new mails (I'm currently up to 3 at this point), sent through the phplist engine and the server wusikfiles dot com, not even talking about a sale (which is currently happening), but straight up asking you to become a Patron through either Patreon or "Buy Me A Coffee"? (asking to exceed the often mentioned 1k/month income)
To William K... if you read this:
You do not have my consent. I haven't been a user of your products in over 10 years. I am not interested anymore.
GDPR is a thing. Just stop!
Oh wait... he's... banned from KVR. Hm, curious.
Well okay then... Unsubscribe it is, blacklist it is. And if I get a new emails, I will strongly consider an official GDPR report. I just wanted to check in with others.
EDIT:
...and of course unsubscribing doesn't work. The engine says "you'll get an email shortly" (basically a 2-step confirmation), and nothing arrives.
He gave the reason as having a mental illness and was specific in that he has Borderline Personality Disorder. While he has my sympathy regarding that, it's a particularly miserable disorder to have, repeated spamming is not related to any of the symptoms of that disorder and so there is really no excuse.
While I have some empathy for BPD, I'm skeptical when dealing with NPD and obvious abusers.
And yes, both of those South American countries are a "buyer beware" in my experience.

Very interesting! Output has access to a large repository of samples through their Arcade repository. They could conceivably train a very capable generative AI system. Similar to what Adobe did with Firefly.Rational wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 10:00 pm Seen this yet? It just dropped. https://coproducer.output.com/ Sample Pack Generator by Output. Interesting idea.

Btw, most comments here miss the point completely. I think it is perfectly reasonable to be skeptical, but being skeptical also requires that you understand what you are skeptical about.

I don't think my wallet is ready for a Softube price crash, lol.
Hoping Atlantis and Bus Processor go on a deep sale too.

Because there is more than just one "point"
For example, do you know what you gain and what you lose when you turn over your decision-making to Output's AI algorithm?
Is the loss worth the gain?
Perhaps it's Yes for you, but No for me.

That's simply not how generative AI assisted creative processes are meant to work. If you think the tool is making the decisions, you misunderstand how these tools are supposed to be used.Michael L wrote: Thu Dec 14, 2023 2:04 am For example, do you know what you gain and what you lose when you turn over your decision-making to Output's AI algorithm?
It is also a bit of a misconception that the developer of the algorithm (I would argue it's not an algorithm, but that's a different story) controls what the algorithm produces. These large networks tend to have their own personality and literally nobody really knows why they work the way they work. They just do.
Having said that, I am not yet impressed by the results the coproducer generates. My guess is that the data set they have to train the network is, while large, not large enough to result in emergent behavior within the network. Everything sounds very predictable still.

"Waves 2 free when I order 2 offer"
I registered my codes from Audiodeluxe 4 hours ago ,.. but have yet to se the promised mail from Waves with link and instructions
At the same time they stress me with info that I need to get it done before 72 hours
Is the delay normal ?
(I thought the mail would be instant)

Yes at least there is a list available over eglible plugs, so I can study and choose while I wait for the final opportunity to register the two extra plugs

They're also hoping our thumbs up / thumbs down and whether we download or not will provide good feedback for retraining the neural network, I'd assume.
