I remember it already was a topic here about that request, but i cannot find it anymore so i open a new one.
Izotope RX comes with a very handy phase analyzer that check the song, and suggest a phase rotation and ofc you can then apply it.
This works on single sounds, instruments and full mix.
The reason to use a tool like that is to fix asymmetrical instruments or full mixes.
This is very helpful for different reasons, the one i'm interested the most, is to reduce the higher peak level to reach a good loudness without triggering too much limiters or clippers.
RX is very good, but it's not a plugin and works "offline" while would be nice a plugin you can insert in the chain and use it.
I hope someone from Melda could say something about that, cause would be a really nice tool, no one is offering yet
Thanks

This should be automatically covered in the "mixing revolution" I'm finally work on (since I announced it like 7 years ago

I'm curious how does RX "fix" an assymetric instrument like trumpet that is naturally assymetric. Another example would be an assymetric overdrive on guitar or bass. Would it introduce a DC offset and would that make things better or worse?

Just imagine the original audio to be with an offset that it's being removed by the tool.
I don't know how RX tool works internally, but it does a good job
@Vojtech Any news on this? Or will be easier to see an earth without wars first? :p
I'd love more the second option ofc, but unfortunatly i think it's utopia, so i'll put my hopes into this mythical "mixing revolution"
