All notes off message sent at beginning of song

I finally wound up experiencing the missing first note problem and came across this post.

The all notes off message only gets sent if the midi clip is at the very beginning of the song. So far the only plugin I've encountered this with is Melda MDrummer within MXXX, but only about 1/2 the time. I only have the MXXX license so I can't test it outside of MXXX. Other VSTs I have aren't bothered by the all notes off message.

As a workaround I just start the song at any time other than 1, 1, 000. I wish there was a way to toggle that all notes off function. Did anyone find another solution?

Nope. Still happens on occasion for me, too.

I have noticed with the latest upgrade that Waveform seems to do a silent count-in before it hits 1,1,000.

Am I imagining this? If not, it should be fixing the problem by giving Waveform a chance to clear its head before it hits that first clip.

Steve, I haven't had any issues with the latest latest version. It does seem to have quietly fixed my previous issues with noise being recorded and audio disappearing when rendering.

Random missing notes has been years old issue. I didn't realize it's only at the beginning of the song, I thought it was at the beginning of any loop. But yes, it's been there for years, so... You know – Tracktion and their bug hunt
