People on here were complaining that their Arturia freebies became NRF and were opening tickets. I'm guessing that incurred enough support costs/visible loss of good will (as in support metrics ran against tickets) it just wasn't worth it. Yay KVR, we did it!

X-mas sale 70% off = $59.00

For those unfamiliar with it:

This synth surprised me. I really like it.

I think it's been on sale many times in the past for less. I was also curious about it a few times before too but still haven't bought it yet.

No, not really, it's a general thing to them

I see the so-called "offer" to upgrade my V8 on
my account is priced to 299 bucks

That's not a friendly and reasonable pricing for
what it is, considering my angagement and trust in the company, owning most eff-plugs also

That's more like just a normal deal level

I'll wait a bit more, until they can do *real* loyalty upgrades. I know they can and could do it, they just need a sign of the customers not hopping on every version. (I own all VCollections from V3 and all FX stuff until FX Coll 3 +lx225+coldfire, even the 3 delays etc. stuff). Try harder Arturia :)

Btw. Softube Dirty Tape is currently free with any order on AudioDeluxe. (yes not really free, but you can have it cheap)

I've found some 4.99 stuff at AD where you can get it.
And also some free VSL / Ozone Image etc. stuff which you can get for free there currently.
Never read on the VSL stuff, seems based on their Synchron Player?

Oh that's terrible! I love getting the Arturia freebies as they were generally full plugins. I use the Tape-mellofi and the MS20 filter quite a bit. They were really generous gifts.

But I have noticed over the past few years MANY people who just collect the freebies to then peddle on the KVR Marketplace. They only sell what was gifted to them.. I really wish the site owner here would crack down on that. Den of snakes. I really hate to see that and how people can take a generous action and turn it into a greedy blight. :(

If I didn’t already have a lot of the content I would be all over the UVI select deal Native Instruments are offering
https://www.native-instruments.com/en/s ... nks-offer/

says it’s £179 until Jan 22.

No truer words have been spoken today. A while ago there was a big train of people in this forum giving away their free keys. Those were good times (I got a few cool keys).

Everyone's free to do whatever, but my thought is if you got it for free and aren't going to use it, pay it back and give it to somebody who will. That way they can have a tool for making music and spread the hobby. More people in the hobby = more audience for plugin devs = more innovation = more cool tools.

The Native Instruments/iZotope/Imageline/UVI/Plugin Alliance alliance marches on!
Will they all conglomerate into one mega-company. Stay tuned.

Just think of a Katamari ball, but instead of random household objects it is packed with pro audio companies. :hihi:

The one plus, if that were to happen, would be maybe we'd see a single portal app to register and download software. There is an Arturia software center, Native Access, Waves Central, UA Connect, IKM Product Manager, UVI Portal, etc...

If someone could strike a deal to make some all-in-one linking app to each of the portals, that'd be great.

An installation manager where you can choose the product you'd like to install, where you can coose the download location for the content/the library, if you want to download it as a VST/VST3/AAX, 32Bit/64Bit etc...
That would be awesome!

Yes one universal app with a single logon account.

Then they make it all Nintendo Exclusive. Obviously not, but it illustrates the precarious nature of actively hoping for a monopoly.

Not a monopoly, a universal app. Individual companies, same portal app.
