Personally I'd rather support Bitwig directly than save 14 bucks since they're pretty niche and I'd very much like them to make enough to continue to develop the DAW, but I do like to buy during a sale and hold on to the code for later. For that the Bitwig shop gift option works just as well as buying from a reseller. It's an option at least.

Why not buy from JRR, spend the $14 saved on MORE Bitwig, then send Bitwig a crisp $20 bill in a combo Thank You/Christmas card?

Arguably, they'll have an easier time washing that cash off the books at the close of the financial year. You could almost consider it a matched charity gift.

Ok, I've just seen that Arturia just released the V Collection X (10) jaja. I bought the v8 and I'm waiting for the license. I have Pigments only and my "SPECIAL OFFER" is a Crossgrade to V Collection X for $399..

I hope the price will drop when I register the V collection 8 in my account.

There is usually a 'Winter' and Summer sales. The 'Winter' one just concluded, the Summer one is around July. The upgrade price is generally halved then. So unless you absolutely need something now, it might be worth the wait.

SSL sale on all nine of the X series native plugins is pretty insane. If you buy from SSL website they even stack their "normal" 3 for 2 promo on top of it. Looks like you can get all 9 for about $152 (you'd need to place 3 separate orders - each one for 3 plugins). Too bad for me. I'm trying to sell my SSL native plugins, since I got the subscription added "for free" on top of my existing slate subscription, but I can't sell the X-series as cheaply as SSL is doing it now - it wouldn't even cover the ilok transfer fees!

NI has a $50 off $100 purchase coupon. I can upgrade from K13 ultimate to K14 CE for $249. Is it worth upgrading at that price?

I haven't used most of K13U, but wouldn't mind having a lot of VSTs in K14 CE.
