If I install reaktor5 and monark wit NI access I only get the newest monark which only works with reaktor6. You can download the old version of the monark ensemble somewhere on the NI site (if you find it). Reaktor5 can load that, but you get an "expired" splashscreen. If you try to activate, you get "Service Center not found". Can you even install it if Access is already there? What a great user experience! So easy!

If you bought Monark while on reaktor 5 , save Monark as a new ensemble ( albeit under a new file name ) , you will then be able to laod it whenever you want in any version of reaktor (from 5 upawards)
Only thing to m, if you create new snapshots in your non backed up ens.you will have to load these in your backup monark and resave .

Choikdoi wrote: Fri Dec 22, 2023 8:03 am OK, so, you need to be planning on buying something from NI during the sale for it to be of value. But it depends what you get. I just bought Massive X for £64. Using the voucher, I was able to add Fables as an upgrade, as I already had Lores, for completely free. I'd take those 2 for £64 over Arturia's freebie any day. Plenty of other great freebies to be had, or at least £45 off towards at NI, if you own stuff to qualify for upgrades and crossgrades.
I have Ultimate 13 so not so much for me, already upgraded Kontakt to 7 in a past sale, GR7 is probably the only upgrade I don't have but this voucher doesn't help as the upgrade is only £71!
GR7 is in the isotope music production bundle.
This is where all this stuff gets ridiculous (and will ultimately be unsustainable). I had the iZoptpe music production bundle before the Merger, I also Had Komplete Ultimate...now they are just swapping products around in bundles (most of which I have) and saying its an update! Great value for new users, old users (especially of both) get little value.
Yeah, agreed. But, let's be clear, izotope has never been user friendly in terms of upgrades. Arguably, the current NI treatment of the Exponential Audio reverbs isn't too bad. You can get the 3d reverbs quite cheap right now. If I wasn't having a moment of clarity in terms of YAGNI, I would probably bite the bullet and get them.

What I want is GR7 and Komplete Standard for Ozone 10, Kontakt 7, and Noir. There are a few things in Ultimate that I would use, e.g., Piano Toys, and one or two of the sequenced Kontakt things. So I went looking to see what's in the other bundles. I'll probably just ket K7 ultimate and wait for a deal on K15 standard to get GR7.

I'll buy something, the $50 voucher that even works on sale items is a bit rare for NI. I'm guessing they need more holiday cash.

Could be using the wrong code? Check here:

It's the code they sent me in the email, the GB one. I'll try a different one

It usually says why the voucher is not valid, when that message pops up, doesn't it? if it still doesn't work. Also, using VPN will automatically change your store location.

But, as long as your checkout cart is in Pounds and you're using the GB voucher code, other than those things, I wouldn't know why else it wouldn't work.

Must be a glitch somewhere as the NI-HOLIDAYS23-GB code works when I am logged out. As soon as I log in at checkout it gets removed! If I then try to apply it it tells me the the products are not valid.

So if I simply resave monark to a different filename I can break the copy protection? Hard to believe honestly. My workaround for now was to load monark in reaktor5, dismiss the activation screen and save the preset, which can then be loaded with the latest monark in reaktor6.

If you have the full version of reaktor and you have bought any the commercial ensembles you can easily rename-save the ensemble to whatever you like .
Unless you don't have the full verson and or N.I. changed something along the way

With the 50$ coupon was able to pick up a Komplete standard upgrade for 50$. Sure it’s not quite a $100, but 99.50$ was enough to trigger the coupon. Not much that I really wanted, latest guitar rig was nice, Upgraded Kontakt library and a few other goodies. Made it more of an impulse purchase.

Wait, Guitar Rig 7 is included when you upgrade to Komplete 14 standard?

People are complaining about NI not supporting their product line enough, while simultaneously blasting them for not developing more synths (that they already have about a dozen of, when you factor in the synths developed in REAKTOR) and discontinuing products that almost no one used to free up resources for other areas.

Make it make sense.

Everyone knew Absynth 5 was on the chopping block. Almost no one used it and it was a very niche synth. There was no way NI would put developers on that product. There was nothing to gain from it, and apart from a very small very vocal minority of people... it will not be missed.

If I said you are blocked, I won't see your posts. Please kindly refrain from quoting or replying to me.
"Notifications for Nothing" are annoying. Blocking me in return is a good way to avoid this.

I mean you more or less answered your own question. Of course if you release a synth like Absynth 5 with a feature set and GUI that wasn't competitive even when it was released, i'ts not a big surprise no one uses it (?)
Personally I'd be more hyped for Absynth 6 with a modern GUI and features than for another "random vintage analog synth reaktor ensemble from the past"

And I rarely see people complain about NI not putting out enough stuff (even synths) but that they don't release any creative or state-of-the-art stuff anymore. I wouldn't necessarily agree, because like you I think they have a lot to offer, but a lot of that stuff feels like abandonware shortly after release.

To me it also looks like they focus on releasing as much stuff as possible instead of trying to create the best solution for a certain use case. For example: There's battery 4, which is pretty mich abandonware at his point. Then, there is polyplex, which was built upon a great idea (imo) but the usability of that ensemble is just outright awful. Last but not least there is drumlab, which feels like "we need some drum thing for kontakt", a weird fusion of acoustic and electronic drums which doesn't seem to be exceptionally good for either camp.

I did update to Komplete 13 as the offer with the voucher was quite reasonable and I do like the session guitar stuff and find it quite useful as I don't play guitar and its very handy and quite convincing chugging away in a mix if you need a guitar bed in the background and the installers seem are remarkably pain free at the moment lol

I have about 10 vouchers for Native Instruments and sadly have zero interest in redeeming them. may just give them away at this point. Ive converted to UVI mostly these days.

Interesting deal for UVI on the NI website : https://www.native-instruments.com/en/s ... nks-offer/
