So when I am recording anything using a midi device and a plug-in, the audio itself does not save after recording. It will show recording but the moment I stop recording the entirety of what I recorded disappears. And in the rare event it doesn’t, the audio takes about a minute to show up in the recording when I am doing a very long recording. Is there any way to fix this issue?

You're right, it doesn't record the audio.
If you're playing MIDI, the MIDI should be what is being recorded. If you want the audio, you will have to render the track or, next time, record the audio from your keyboard instead of the MIDI. Part of the point of this is flexibility. Somewhere down the line, you might think you'd like the sound to be different. As long as you have the MIDI, you can change the sound by using a different sound that plug-in can give you. Or use one from another plug-in.
