Studio One Pattern Editor. Seqund is great, I love it and use it regularly, but the pitch lanes need to be larger. As it is, I just set the key and then randomize for instant bleep-bloops.cptgone wrote: Mon Dec 25, 2023 12:54 am Are you saying you prefer piano roll editors, or that Seqund is lacking as a step sequencer for that task?

Ok. Sounds good to me. Gear has to be delivered before the end of the year to be considered for Last Purchase of the Year. It's official now.vurt wrote: Sun Dec 24, 2023 11:30 pmwell id suggest it has to be delivered.McLilith wrote: Sun Dec 24, 2023 5:43 amWhat about purchases paid for this year, but aren't delivered till next year? Should we consider those for "Last Purchase of the Year" status, or should we only consider delivered gear for Last Purchase of the Year status?vurt wrote: Fri Dec 15, 2023 8:13 pm competition is a strong word for it, but yes.
first, last, most, cheapest, most expensive and of course the elusive "didn't buy anything" all get special mention in the end of year speeches.
Maybe those items purchased this year, but not delivered till next year should be considered for "First Purchase of the Year" for next year?![]()
We need clear rules about something so important!![]()
otherwise, the last purchase of one year, could be the first purchase of the next year, there'd be anarchy!
On the bright side, if your gear doesn't arrive by the end of the year, it still has a shot of being "First Purchase of the Year", if it arrives early enough in January.

“Purchase” is, by definition, the act of buying and does not necessitate delivery of purchased item or service. As such, all items purchased prior to 1/1/2024 at 12:00 am belong in this thread, regardless of delivery date. Failure to comply with this law will result in swift and severe punishment. And so it is written.

Final purchase of the year is a cheap wireless QWERTY keyboard, as my old one finally mostly died (had to spend a few hours unable to type <o> or <backspace> cause my cat was sleeping on my lap)
Here in Belgium the AZERTY layout is used. I'm gonna try and switch.
I'm typing this on my old cabled gaming keyboard, and had to start over twice cause one of the programmable buttons at the side eat my posts.
This year, I got pedals (Lauren Audio, Chase Bliss, Wampler, MXR, Catalinbread, Devi Ever) and a new shoe rack to house some in.
As to the pitch lanes, i find using the mouse wheel to set pitch helps a lot.

Thanks for clearing that up, it's appreciated (I was wondering if i was missing out on some aspect or alternative).Uncle E wrote: Mon Dec 25, 2023 3:44 amStudio One Pattern Editor. I just wish there was a mode to make them take up the full interface. Basically Seqund and Studio One’s Pattern Editor in one.

Yeah, but that makes it a silly game. I'm on the "delivery required for prizes" side. I'm going to win with my budget pedalboard order. Cart is bulging at Amazon, but I'm not ready to order just yet.cryophonik wrote: Mon Dec 25, 2023 6:30 am “Purchase” is, by definition, the act of buying and does not necessitate delivery of purchased item or service. There seems to be a major misunderstanding of the point of threads like these.
None of us post in here to celebrate winning anything.
We are merely relaying tales of our sad defeats by GAS.

GAS has hit hard this year, especially the last two months with all the new cash based updates/upgrades.
I promised myself a dry January next year… we’ll see how that goes

the act if buying is part of the process of a purchase, which ends when you have the item in your hands. for the purposes of this threadcryophonik wrote: Mon Dec 25, 2023 6:30 am “Purchase” is, by definition, the act of buying and does not necessitate delivery of purchased item or service. Reported. You can expect a rather unpleasant visit from Ben and his gang of thugs, aka the KVR Mod Squad.vurt wrote: Mon Dec 25, 2023 1:25 pmthe act if buying is part of the process of a purchase, which ends when you have the item in your hands. for the purposes of this threadcryophonik wrote: Mon Dec 25, 2023 6:30 am “Purchase” is, by definition, the act of buying and does not necessitate delivery of purchased item or service. Definitely a Merry Christmas to the hardware enthused!
I’ve added Bebe Cherie and not purchased too many times.
Im still attempting to build out a nice little setup, but it’s only reinforcing the idea it’s not needed.
I probably just need a new music making station

I agree with Vurt, wondering if it will be delivered by the end of the year adds to the excitement. There is no mystery involved with just ordering a thing so this place would boil down to reporting on a mouse click without delivery.

Speak for yourself. I'm in it to win it. I wish I would have known about the competition sooner. Also, not apologizing for GAS this year. I'm having more fun, that's what matters.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Dec 25, 2023 11:01 am There seems to be a major misunderstanding of the point of threads like these.
