Shorter French and Spanish translations for fade-in/out, as it was changing the width of the inspector [34648]

Bug on my side (reported)

When "Sync to Playing Tempo" is selected for both browsers samples here on my side doesn´t preview anymore...

A little spining "Circle of Death appears above the guessed BPM and nothing happens...

"Play at original speed" works though...

There are no problems on 5.1 for me...

It seems they broke it while fixing this:

haha, wow, they listened to you, look at this  :tu: Thanks for reporting the bug for us all

Changes in Bitwig Studio 5.1.2 [released 22 December 2023]
FIXES
Previewing one-shot samples in the preview player could leave it spinning in a load-loop forever, when set to sync to tempo. [34736]
I built a Looper for Bitwig! :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z5ywDo2bU0

Nice you think of me having caused this... but I think this would have been a little too fast... but who knows... :tu:

Anyway, great fast fixing of this issue!!

In 5.1.2 I am not able to bounce anything anymore (reported)...

Neither bunce in place nor bounce with various options create any audio files which make sound... just a zero line...

Can anybody confirm this??

EDIT: I found the issue!
As soon as you have i.e. a tool on that track modulated by a project modulator (i.e. for SC ducking) AND you have on the Master track a midi input source for the modulators set (i.e. a sidechain Trigger track) I cannot even bounce in 5.1 anymore...

Bypassing the modulated tool doesn´t work either... just either disconnecting the midi input on the master or deleteing the tool device

^^^ Don't be sad, this took me 1.5 hours to do, StudioOne M1, bouncing
I was experiencing the same slow render and bounce times and was attributing it to plugins. There are definitely some that are slower than others, but turning plugins on and off or toggling oversampling didn't make much of a difference. What *did* make a considerable difference was changing Process Precision from Single (32 Bit) to Double (64 Bit). Once I did that my render and bounce times were much faster and more closely resembled what I've been seeing on various YouTube videos.

upgrading to 64-bit processing precision took it from 10 times slower to 1.5 times faster, yay

It´s at least nice if you find what causes the issue and can workaround it...
I am curious what the Bitwigs say...

Post

I’ll wait on 5.1 for a bit since project macros are a huge part of my bitwigging.

Based on the previous release dates of Bitwig Studio, it is likely that Bitwig 6 will be released in Q2 2024. The most recent major release, Bitwig Studio 5.1, was released on November 15, 2023, and the previous major release, Bitwig Studio 5.0, was released on April 26, 2023. This suggests that Bitwig Studio releases typically occur approximately 7 months apart. Therefore, it is reasonable to expect that Bitwig 6 will be released in the second quarter of 2024.

Based on the release dates of previous Bitwig Studio versions and averaging the intervals between each release, Bitwig Studio 6.0 could possibly be released around March 24, 2025. Keep in mind that this is a rough estimate and actual release dates depend on various factors specific to the development and strategy of the Bitwig team.
