Hi,
I cannot find what the general update policy is for Waveform Pro on the Tracktion site.
What is the update policy after purchase?
Is it each update until a new major version?
Thanks!
Regards,
Jerry

That's generally been the case for the last few years. In some cases, like 11.5, it was a free upgrade despite being a major update in terms of features and quality.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

Ok, thank you.
I asked because I'm in doubt for a new DAW, whether it shall be Waveform Pro or FL Studio.

I use both. They're very different. I do things in FL Studio that I wouldn't do in Waveform, like use Image-Line plugins*. Image-Line plugins and Waveform do not get along. And it will be a cold day in hell before I ever try to record a normal audio song (eg. guitar and vocals) in FL Studio.
I might choose FL Studio if I primarily made EDM. I would only choose Waveform if I made music using real instruments and vocals. You might also want to consider the plugins you use. Test them in both DAWs to make sure they play nice.
* I got some of their VST plugins back when they were still selling VST plugins. Some of them can't accurately load presets, some of them simply crash.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

I always found FL counterintuitive and never dived in. It works differently than most major DAWs (Waveform included). But some people swear by it. I find Waveform even better for EDM than FL.

Thanks for both your fair comments. I have quite a few 32bit plugin synths, and there is no bridge in Waveform. I'm testing the free version as well as the trial from FL. Big advantage is melodyne and autotunes integration, which a similar is available at the more expensive version of FL.
Price wise I find FL interesting, pay once and that's it. But hearing some good experiences from others helps a lot.So a lot to consider.
