Is Outersect MPE compatible?

The user guide suggests that it's not, since there's no mention of MPE and the list of polyphonic midi sources does not include Pitchbend or MPE Timbre/Slide/Y axis. If true, I probably won't buy it. I would have bought the prototype from the old demo video that allowed MPE Timbre/Slide/Y axis to determine string position. Not making this synth MPE would be a terrible decision that would lose you a lot of money.

I can see why you don't like it but I'm ok with the idea of it as it is. if you're going to model multistring instruments, you probably want to mess with a bunch of the parameters to the point (to get the different string weights, resonances etc) where it makes more sense to slap three or four together in a multi in the same way you would with a guitar synth.

Ugh!
“Ultimate Expression”, eh?
There’s a strong connection between PhysMod and MPE, at this point. In fact, devs and manufacturers of PhysMod synths support MPE controllers even when their synths are monophonic.
The reason is, the gestures associated with MPE work well with PhysMod. The intro video focuses on a keytar for a similar reason. And every parameter is addressable. Which could work well for many controllers (especially windcontrollers). Yet, if it doesn’t support per-note expression, there’s a big miss, here.
I *might* still buy it for use with windcontrollers, though I’m transitioning to a specific MPE controller that I find particularly easy to learn (Intuitive Instruments’s Exquis).

Yeah, it strikes me as strange that MPE wasn't included with a PM synth. That's such a logical choice for the expressiveness of PM. I wouldn't be surprised if it's added in 2.0.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

Also surprised with this. Just demoed it a little bit, but without MPE there's not so much point in it for me.

From the developer:
"It's about 90% MPE compatible. I use it regularly with the Linnstrument in MPE mode.
To connect to an MPE controller:
1. set the number of voices to 1 on the sound
2. make sure the bend range of the sound matches the bend range of your controller.
You should be able to play the sounds from your MPE controller.
It will be polyphonic, and you will have X,Y,Z axis control.
The modeler does not YET support MPE GLOBAL controllers,
so if your MPE controller has a bunch of global knobs on it, those won't work right (yet)."
But someone on VI Control is saying they couldn't get this to work in Logic X or Ableton: "Tickling a few settings in the DAW now means the channels receive PB, but don't distinguish between them so the most recent note controls which PB channel is recognised across all of them. Stacking instances and channelising is the only reliable method for doing MPE right now." https://vi-control.net/community/thread ... st-5480038
Can anyone confirm? Particularly for Live 11?
