well, I am one of you customer, I have been using some of your products since....2005 or 2006 maybe??? And yes, I own DiscoPro7.9 which I beleieve is a very nice synth!

what you don't seem to understand is that you made YOUR OWN CUSTOMERS quite upset with your upgrade strategies (a 75$ upgrade for a "meh" upgrade) and, instead of re-considering that strategy, you keep treating us as idiots.

There is still time for business course correction. Most people here are here because they care about a particular product enough to be vocal about it. Personally, the product and support I care about is Bliss Sampler and Linux support. Proper businesses should try to work "with" their customers, not against them. I think if a course correction is made soon, customers will go back to how they've always been. This is not the first, second, or even third time controversy has happened with this company, and yet George has somehow pulled through. I think there is still hope if he reconsiders and is not stubborn. I'm not suggesting how to make that change--if he wants to keep the price as is, that's his prerogative. But he needs to consider what he can do to pacify unhappy customers.

papillons's post appears to have been deleted (who has the power to delete posts? I don't), but not before I got a chance to read it. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to post my response to the incredulous accusations. All I can suggest is that maybe it is time that Papillon takes a break from the internet and possibly get his doctor to up his medication.

Oh, one more thing........ he needs to learn the true meaning of the word, "shill", because I'm not so sure I fit the accusation.

some of George/discodsp's threats from today have also gone and most replies so I'm guessing he's tried to do a bit of damage limitation and got the mods to take them down.

Farewell DiscoDSP.

I’m unsure you’re really sane now, and you’re too proud to understand the concept of supply/demand, that makes the prices follow what your customers are willing to pay. You can refuse it all like a crybaby and ask to recount the votes forever and insult every single of us, but those people still exist and some are your customers : you’re free to treat them as you like.

And some of my post have disappeared also. The best thing to do is stop right here with those guys. The plugins are simply not worth the hassle. I’ll keep on reading though : this is the most epic fail I’ve seen here for a developer, and I’ve seen a bunch.

EDIT : sorry, overreacted on a line when I saw my posts were missing for nothing when compared to some.

I can't bring myself to think that the mods would go along with that. At the very least, a mod would give some explanation as to why it was being done. Is it possible that George has moderator access in this part of KVR? I know he has (or at least had) the ability to moderate his DiscoDSP forum part of KVR.

Do you feel incredulously accused?

Hmm, I disagree with that. OB-Xd, Discovery and Corona are quite good IMO (no experience with the others). I wish he'd overhaul the preset system to something like u-he or Arturia but apart from that I have no real complaints.

I just reported these edits to the moderators. Hopefully my report won't be deleted as well before a real moderator sees it. Here's what I posted:

There have been messages deleted from this forum with no explanation. People are legitimately discussing a serious issue about DiscoDSP that should be allowed to be discussed. There was a previous thread about this same topic that was closed without warning or explanation. The discussion has remained civil for the most part, but discusses legitimate grievances with DiscoDSP. To my knowledge, no terms of service have been broken by any KVR members. However, I suspect that someone other than a moderator has gone through and deleted these messages. Please, if it was indeed a moderator that has made these edits, please post what terms have been broken so that we can know in a fair way what rule we are breaking. And please, if it was not a proper moderator that made these edits, please revoke that person's moderation access. I feel that the edits are an abuse of the moderation authority. Thanks in advance!

george has reported some of my posts in another thread and they got taken down while his were left up. and one of mine showing how George was actively posting pricing info despite threatening users posting the same info got taken out. so, I can easily believe the mods will go along with it. very often, if it's like gearspace, it's just a question of available time: they'll delete anything that gets reported even if it's quite mild criticism just for a quiet life.
