David, just a question about the Adsr-Release: From my memory there was a certain difference between value 8 and 9 when working in trackers. So i fired up good old Jch editor and it sounds like release value 9 is shorter/goes to silence faster in cs64 than in the tracker?

Our ADSR passes all hardware tests imaginable. So I would tend to think we are fine here.
Double checked our code tables and it even matches the rough approximations in the datasheet.

On second look. You are correct. There is currently a bug when using "no ADSR bugs" in settings. How ironic. So the EMU layer never uses that ADSR bug optimization so all tests pass.

I'm glad that my memory & ears still works fine! Thanks for looking into this! :)

As a temporary workaround you can use Settings/Emu/Env Bugs: On.
You will get the right times, but suffer all the native ADSR bugs of hardware.

Resizing the GUI from Settings dialog is not resizing the plugin window (in Reaper, Maschine) - it resizes the actual interface but it's cropped out. In Live it's

Hiding the keyboard blacks the GUI out (Reaper, Live, Maschine), and in Reaper also doesn't resize the plugin window at all (even after closing the plugin window then reopening it).

Yeah, long standing issue. thanks for bumping this up. Just fixed it and will be in the v1.005 update which should be out before the end of the week.
Should help OPS7 to an extent as well.

Double checked and that works in VST3, but not in the CLAP build, so that will be in another later update. [EDIT]: erm seb just pushed the fix in.

Released an update with that issue sorted out. Took a while to do correctly.
Went with the old "make it an {optional} feature" adage.

v1.005 January 9th 2024
A critical bug was introduced just before final release:
The ADSR's Decay/Release behavior used in the synth parts were wrong compared to the real chip.
The emulation part was always fine however, and this is why this passed all our otherwise rigorous tests.
The ADSR used in the synth cores uses special hacks to avoid the real chips's infamous bugs/stalls.
In order not to break existing user presets and sessions,
we have kept the wrong behavior as a feature - Linear vs Exponential Decays and Releases.
This version's "init" patch sets the "Settings/ADSR Behavior" to "Exp DR" matching the real chip behavior, but without stalls.
Most presets have been converted to the correct ADSR behavior.
Emulation tab: Added SID "tweaking" knobs for all 4 cores.
Added longer DAC streaming times to support native ADSR releases.
Windows: Some UI refreshes issues fixed (Reaper).

Also updated all other chipsynths to v1.120.

David, been playing around with the "gate step modulator window". A question: when using Loop: "note gate" on an active gate block (followed by empty space) there is always a ghost note that triggers on (fast) key release?

Might have to make an example preset. But gate step is really to make beat loops more than short hits. its possible it doesn't react rapidly enough in very short notes.
