Hi,

Does anyone here have a problem downloading the Tracktion demo songs?

When I click on "Get Demo Songs" to download Caverns, Rapture, Woody D&B, and Static Observer, only "Static Observer" shows up on Active Projects.

I've tried nuking everything including the directories specified in comment #3 in viewtopic.php?t=535768 and then restarting the Mac, but still no go.

Is there a way to download these projects manually via URL rather than via the app?

Try this: https://www.tracktion.com/training/manuals

Scroll down by a screen height and the songs are listed on the right.

AUTO-ADMIN: Non-MP3, WAV, OGG, SoundCloud, YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter and Facebook links in this post have been protected automatically. Once the member reaches 5 posts the links will function as normal.

Thanks, the songs at https://www.tracktion.com/training/manuals (https://www.tracktion.com/training/manuals) aren't the same demo songs as the ones for the latest Tracktion, but at least there's something to work with.

I've tried downloading the ones by the route you mentioned (I really should read questions properly - apologies).

I appear to be having the same problem, although both Static Observer ones have appeared, and it appears I already had the Woody D&B Demo.

I'm on Windows 10.

I found them in the

Code: Select all

~/.config/Tracktion/Waveform/Temporary

with these names:

Static Observer Rorschach Litany626adca69c1ffb1f.trkarch
Woody D&B Demo67757c8434117cb5.trkarch

Then copied all without hash suffix to the regular directory.
It's on Linux, so depending on your system it can be in AppData or ~/Library/Application Support/Tracktion/Waveform

Thanks, that's helpful. I've looked in the relevant folder and the Caverns and Rapture and Woody ones never completed. There's a number of smaller files all the same size with the names partly the missing ones but there's no big file that looks like it denotes a complete download.

Thank you! You are right, the demo projects are loaded into the temporary folder.

I found them ! But why are they there instead of the download folder I specified ? Seems like a bug to me...

I'm having the same issue - new user just starting with Tracktion. Any idea how to find the demo songs - make the built in "Get Demo Songs" feature to work?

The songs are listed on this page: https://www.tracktion.com/training/manuals

Right-click and choose Save Link As. This will allow you to choose a location for your file. The files are downloaded in archived format.
