Looks insanely complex too (in a good way, and not so good if you get freaked out by that stuff
For some reason, I've never tried the original, maybe I should....
Look fwd to the NAMM videos.
Beautiful, thank you!
Remapping of Modulation is smth different if I got Z2 ModMappers clearly. It's like a grade of Modulation and strength of it but tied to notes. It's implemented in the simplest way In Serum and PhasePlant and is really advanced in Vital which makes it to outstand. Allows to Sidechain Effects with the same Modulator, especially after reversing it, or to controll the speed of modulation. Z2 ModMappers are quite different... like advanced Steppers maybe... never met smth like this actually. Creative thins though.Urs wrote: Wed Jan 17, 2024 8:17 pmDunno what "Remapping of Modulation" is... like Z2 ModMappers?OCTO8R wrote: Wed Jan 17, 2024 8:07 pm
Hi, does it have any Remapping of Modulation, (mostly in MSEG style with Reverse function), Aux Modulation, does it allow switch between Uni/Bipolar modulation with NO changing a Modulator itself, does it have Presets for Modulators/Effects/FX Chain, does it import User Wavetables and is there A/B mode of MSEG that might be modulated too?
Very excited to hear the news!
Thank You! 🫶
Dunno what "Aux Modulation" is, either![]()
Uni/Bi = yes, via ModMatrix - see Hive![]()
No module presets yet, but may come if needed.
It imports .wav files via drag'n'drop, which it then tries to vectorise into a spline based form. A bit hit and miss. Some .wavs work, others don't.
MSEG morphs with up to 8 different curves (currently: 7 - a bug!). Can be modulated, of course.
Better WAV I guess. Serum, Vital, Pigments or PhasePlant or any other modern mumbo-jumbo consume WAV easily.shaboogen wrote: Wed Jan 17, 2024 10:09 pm Will it be able to export wavetables to Serum-compatible formats?
Serum accepts and exports WAV files (it doesn't use a proprietary format), but there's no standard for saving wavetables in terms of frame size, pitch etc.OCTO8R wrote: Wed Jan 17, 2024 10:20 pmBetter WAV I guess. We have a key follow modifier that can be applied to anything... still not sure if this is what is asked for. Let's discuss when we put it out?OCTO8R wrote: Wed Jan 17, 2024 10:18 pm Remapping of Modulation is smth different if I got Z2 ModMappers clearly. Auxiliary Modulation is actually Modulation of Modulation. Like ADSR modulates Modulation between LFO and Filter Cutoff.
Module presets? Well... I think they would only facilitate users to make presets and exchange them. Just a little extra product monger. Especially if it's presets of FX chain.
MSEG morph - awesome!
Thank you!
Sorry for sort of nagging with thoughts and ideas.![]()
Serum actually does have a proprietary "RIFF chunk" in the .wav file, which Steve once explained on KVR and which I finally managed to add, and which makes Serum import it perfectly.shaboogen wrote: Wed Jan 17, 2024 11:05 pmSerum accepts and exports WAV files (it doesn't use a proprietary format), but there's no standard for saving wavetables in terms of frame size, pitch etc.OCTO8R wrote: Wed Jan 17, 2024 10:20 pmBetter WAV I guess. Serum's format is as close to a standard as we have because everything loads it. If Zebralette offers an output, it would be great if it outputs to that format for maximum compatibility.
