Distort everything.
Distort the f**k out of it.
Then limit it to distort some more.

That's why studios back in the day bought really expensive 2' tapes - so they could distort the f**k out of every channel recorded with really expensive saturation. Nothing to do with how clean they sounded...

Yes use saturation because your frequencies need more little harmonic friends :hug:
