I am a newbie to Tracktion and loving it so far, though I noticed last night that when running Reason with Tracktion that the first 16th note of my Reason tracks were not playing.
Could this be a latency issue, or does anybody have any other clues ?

It's a glitch that for some reason has never been fixed. It's not just Reason, so don't worry about your setup. To be completely honest with you, I don't remember what I do to fix it up, but it seems to me that I've just shifted the whole song forward a measure to give it some "intro time".

That was my workaround, just added an extra measure to the beginning of the track.

Yep, hopefully T2 will fix this - my main request in fact 
In the meantime, as Lunch Money says, just add a blank bar/measure at the start of your song. In fact in tracktion it's a good idea to do this, period. It solves potential rendering problems down the line as well as the ReWire glitch. And having a blank measure at the start of your song is no big deal.
