I guess, ambient, or old soundtrack mixes from 90s and early 2000s?
I am not familiar with English-speaking Internet culture and slang. Thank you for your patience.

You might find these more your taste....Bombadil wrote: Mon Jan 29, 2024 4:27 pm Jazz. It is simply a language I cannot understand. I do like jazz trios or quartets, and guitarists like Joe Pass, but that's about it. I can't tolerate rap/hip-hop, modern 'Soul/R&B' in the least. I avoid it like I would covid-infected people.
All Jazz guitarist that you might actually like.....

Yes, and you can answer this question: here.BertKoor wrote: Mon Jan 29, 2024 4:07 pm The question behind the question needs to be asked:
Why do you make music? Is your ultimate goal to please the average listener?

Haha, best answer so far!BertKoor wrote: Tue Jan 30, 2024 7:20 am The genre you MUST tolerate:

Why?
Because the music played in the elevator (or in the department
store) is exactly the kind of music that most people like and is
therefore more likely to stimulate most people.

It's always a good day for Thin Lizzy since they played funk, soul, blues, folk, hard rock, prog-rock, metal, reggae etc.

I had a dentist appointment yesterday, and they usually play some awful country music over their speakers which makes the whole experience even worse. But yesterday it was a mix of old soul/R&B/funk and I tolerated that just fine (and even enjoyed some).

I hate jazz, but I went to New Orleans and heard some great jazz. Maybe a little zydeco thrown in, but jazz usually makes me cringe.

I'm certain that whatever "funk" Thin Lizzy played isn't funk.Aloysius wrote: Tue Jan 30, 2024 10:35 am It's always a good day for Thin Lizzy since they played funk, soul, blues, folk, hard rock, prog-rock, metal, reggae etc.
It's like people saying the Doobie Brothers played some funk music. If they did (and I say they didn't), I'm with George Clinton - "Don't put no Doobie in my funk."
