Waveform 12 Pro- fails to start if version is >12.1.8

I have W12.1.8 working fine on my Win11 PC- has worked fine for months/a long time.

If I try to update past W12.1.8, any version greater than that, it installs ok, but wont start. I get a momentary hourglass then nothing. If I monitor it in TaskManager I can see it kicking in, then just as quickly vanishing.

Anyone else faced a similar problem?

Just a guess: maybe the newly installed version re-uses as a friendly service to you the last app settings from the old version? Then it could have happened that upon start of the new version and according to the old settings not only the app is started, but also the last used project is requested to right away load? If the new version of WF suffers a functionality regression (sometimes new bugs slip in) and this concerns some plugin used in the automatically to be loaded project, then WF might not be able to start up correctly and only shows symptons like you described them.
If this would be the case, then you will be intersted in this recent thread
viewtopic.php?t=599932 about how to possibly overcome this issue. I there suggested my solution in this post: viewtopic.php?p=8801866#p8801866. If this would help you, then finding a solution to (hopefully only temporarily) get rid of that plugin from that project would be the next step...
