I think when T2 is finally released I will be abandoning the buggy FLS5 in favor of T2 if it's rock solid, cause it sure looks good!

I don't mean to be a killjoy, but it seems like these new features are things that could be put into something called Tracktion 1.3. Like, great you can now hide sections of the interface, colour stuff differently and make use of a step recording facility. I know they're releasing more each week, but does anybody else here think big deal?
How about coloured audio clips/tracks, built in destructive audio editing features (reverse, cuts etc) of clips, bouce down sections of a track, importing of grooves, creation of grooves from midi, etc.?

Afro, if that was the sum of the new features, I'd agree with you. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. The main thing will be completely overhauled MIDI (already evidenced by step-recording which is brand-new functionality). There will also be many other things, and the 'strip tease' has just begun.
By the time it's all done, it'll definitely be a 2.0 release, mark our words.

See, thing is for me at least-- Tracktion was nearly perfect to begin with. While it might not seem like much, the hide-able filter and input areas are HUGE for me. It takes the current model and makes it just that much more lean and mean. That, combined with scalable windows, is going to make my workspace lovurrly.
Now, I'm not saying that it makes them "big" or "important" features, but there aren't boring from my perspective.

Well, here's my opinion on the new features:
1. Definately an overhaul on MIDI. The step recording is one thing, but we know it's been talked about being improved, so that alone is worth the upgrade for some people.
2. Tracktion is already (IMO) the most workflow minded sequencer out there. Now they add even more, like the scalable window and being able to hide sections. It just makes it that much better, without losing what made Tracktion, well, Tracktion!
3. User definable color schemes. Well, do you remember how many people said they wouldn't buy Tracktion ONLY because they didn't like the colors? Well, what's their excuse now?
4. Hardware support. This is a MAJOR addition, and I don't think it would be justified releasing this in version 1. Again, just my opinion. Also, adding this just raises Tracktion into a new class of sequencers. Even if it's only Mackie products, so what. It's something. And I'm sure it will be more.
I'm really getting excited about reading new features every week. I've already said I'm in for the upgrade, if not for anything but to support Jules. They could add JUST the features they've already announced and I would be happy. I already am happy with version 1. But hey, keep the features coming, because if these features are a sign, this could be a very pleasant release for many people.
