Metric Halo never came out on Windows if I recall. And I can’t imagine they still will run on a modern Mac, either.

Another vote for Kelvin. I also think Sknote AnyTesla and SSL Fusion Transformer are very good. I found that the saturation in Elysia Karacter can be very comparable with Kelvin at times even though it's not necessarily a transformer emulation.

If someone has powershaper i made a few presets that were inspired by the Kush Omegas, and a hw transformer DI box.
These aren't spot on, but they were close enough for me to retire Omegas (due to migration to M1 - kush was too slow for me)

PowerShaper "transformers" preset pack.
"Transformer" and "Tranformer Hot" i forgot what inspired them.
Others were inspired by Kush Omegas, some are really close (-40dB cancellation close).

P42 is just a waveshaper with a highpass in front of it. Every plugin of theirs i've tried has been underwhelming. Sknote AnyTesla when used subtly is the closest thing ITB i've heard to sounding and behaving like an actual transformer coupled circuit. The model in the Eventide Ultrachannel is nice when used subtly as well, though doesn't handle being driven at all well

How you can say that it is just a waveshaper with an highpass?

People say this all the time. It's the default people use to try to sound like they know what they're talking about about when they absolutely do not. They just heard other people throw this around copied it from someone else who likely doesn't know what they're talking about.

Every time I've pressed someone on how they came to the conclusion that whatever the plugin in question is just a simple waveshaper, they've either walked it back, babbled nonsense, or stopped responding.

I'm guessing one of those three things will happen to you here. Maybe I'm wrong though, maybe THIS time they'll give you an actual testing methodology and results from their experimentation! Fingers crossed!
