Sounds like a Plaid song!

I am super happy with the UI. Beautiful!
I watched the Zebralette Videos on Urs' YT Channel. Mindblowing stuff. Really looking forward to the Clap Beta.
On the first Page you wrote "among other things". Just curious what those other things might be? Perhaps the VCV modules you mentioned somewhere?

I think it really was mostly Zebralette 3 which sparked the most interest. We did have a new NKS keyboard to show NKS integration of our software and poly AT though, and we had an Osmose to showcase some presets for Bazille, Diva and Hive that were tailored towards its particular MPE capabilities.Joe Leidigkeit wrote: Sun Feb 04, 2024 6:42 pm On the first Page you wrote "among other things". We didn't showcase Eurorack or VCV, even though we have made quite some efforts there as well throughout the past year.

I really like the sound examples, but they all seem to have the same timbre, so they sound a bit similar to me. Did you use the same waveforms for all of your examples here, or are there any specific settings you are using all the time that might be causing this?
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be awesome if there was a way to...how do I put this..."de-keytrack" an oscillator filter effect. Because the amplitude of each harmonic is treated the same way per-note, almost like having keytracking turned up to 100% on an actual filter. Would be very cool to be able to have a KeyFollow control for this. Or maybe just keytracking percentage options: 25%, 33%, 50%, etc.pdxindy wrote: Sat Feb 03, 2024 7:22 am filters? who needs filters... hehehe
another example from Zebralette 3

...Or maybe that was something that was doable the whole time by simply modulating the filter oscillator effect with a KeyFollow source and I just never noticed. Even then, direct control of filter frequency keyfollow within the oscillator FX (without having to assign modulation) would be nice.

I'd say they all reflect pdxindy's tastes and fab skills, hence the perceived similarities.enCiphered wrote: Sun Feb 04, 2024 7:08 pmI really like the sound examples, but they all seem to have the same timbre, so they sound a bit similar to me. Thanks for sharing these btw, top stuff.

That "de-keytracking" exists in Zebralette 3. The "Formant" OscFX works in absolute frequency space. A notch at 4kHz there is a notch at 4kHz on any note you play. If you draw a lowpass filter response there that goes from fully open to fully closed, it'll affect the notes just like a filter that has no key follow at all. While it's called "Formant", it can be anything - an EQ, a filter, a vowel type thing. You draw the shape of it as freely as you draw a waveform or an envelope.Sound Author wrote: Sun Feb 04, 2024 7:50 pmIt would be awesome if there was a way to...how do I put this..."de-keytrack" an oscillator filter effect. However, let's not forget that this is ultimately a Zebra 3 oscillator, and that Zebralette is merely a freeware appetiser for it. Zebra 3 of course will have your usual (or not so usual) array of filters to do to each voice whatever one would expect from a filter.

Having said that, perhaps we can assign KeyFollow to the new guide curves applied to the entire frequency spectrumSound Author wrote: Sun Feb 04, 2024 7:50 pmIt would be awesome if there was a way to...how do I put this..."de-keytrack" an oscillator filter effect. You can apply Key Follow through the ModMatrix in any way that a filter frequency (or something akin to such) is controlled.
I just hope I can address all the remaining showstoppers quickly and get a beta out for you to see.
Not sure yet, eastbound jet lag is heavy.

Most of the examples are using the Additive Renderer in Spectrum mode and also the Spectral Distortion.enCiphered wrote: Sun Feb 04, 2024 7:08 pmI really like the sound examples, but they all seem to have the same timbre, so they sound a bit similar to me. Here's one using the Wavetable Renderer:
