do u-he synth parameters map to S49 MK3 without installing NI software?

I am thinking about getting the new S49 MK3 from NI specifically for playing the u-he synths.
I am only interested in the automatic mapping of synth parameters to the controller (NKS?):
Does this automatic mapping work when the VST is hosted in Reaper, or do I need to install additional software from NI?

Yes, you need to install Komplete Kontrol software and use it as a wrapper inside Reaper.
