It's a vibe.

I realise that you're joking, and locking an account would be one thing (if I had been breaking their T&C's), but deleting an account without any warning is something else altogether.

It's been completely erased.

Yes, sorry. I have no idea. It's the first time I've heard of it happening.

No worries, your comment did make me chuckle.

I have another account that I can use, but unfortunately I can't replace the years of OSC comments sent/received from the old one. :(

Right before it happened, I was commenting on a track and noticed that the comment kept disappearing after a page refresh. I tried again several times, and I also I captured a .gif of what was happening to show the guys on Discord to see if it had happened to them (it has...).

I suspect that their over-enthusiastic anti-spam engine took a dump so I've opened a support ticket with a fairly lengthy explanation of what OSC is, and how comments are a big part of it, including the cap of my last comment to try to persuade them that I'm not a spam bot. We'll see what happens.

I'll be back, one way or another (for better or worse).

I can still see your track on the OSC playlist. All the comments are still there, the track plays, and your account looks completely intact to me. Have they fixed it since you last checked?

My faith in our Technology Overlords is partially restored, as is my account.

I tripped their anti-spam engine resulting in an instant account removal. I'm told it might take 24 hours or so for all my comments, likes and shares to reappear - but I'm back, baby (and hugely relieved)

Looks like I'm still on the OSC playlist and voting page for this month. Sorry about that...

Just received an email from support a few moments ago - panic over.
Thanks for checking, Richard :tu:

First 'like' since signing back in to SC...

"anti-spam tripper" is going to be the name of this month's OSC track also why do the promotion bots still exist. That Musicmilkclub always like and repost my track as soon as I post anything! I guess they don't and just create new accounts. But if you have a paid account really should be immune to this sort of thing or at least relaxed rules.

I see MMC on a frequent basis, though they don't comment as much as they used to.

If they're going to be this hard on normal users, perhaps there should be an exemption from anti-spam tactics if you're mutual friends? Just a thought..

Yep that totally makes sense

This now begs the question about why the bots aren't killed off ... I will continue to report them.

Probably so many bot accounts to keep up with. Maybe they need to do a real trawl of the accounts and check who has not got any music loaded (vs just "reposts"), and warn them off. Genuine people will contact support as you did. Give them say 1 month to contact them, or kaboom, gone, busted etc ...

Reposts are a major nuisance :( I see so many of them that I keep missing new work from musicians I like to hear and support.
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

100% agree - those re-post bots are a pain in the bot :-)
