It's already on MSoundFactory, would be nice to use it with other synths too, so having a dedicated fx would be lovely.
Thanks
Ps: I see the Tempo knob is not exposed to automation, and would be really nice if we can automate it

I agree. I mentioned it some time ago. An arpeggiator, the Melda way. And a lot of the development is already done. It would be awesome, no doubt whatsoever.

MSoundFactory outputs MIDI notes generated by its arpeggiator.
Therefore, you can utilize the MSF arpeggiator to play another synth.
REAPER can do that easy by inserting a synth after MSF.
MPowerSynth can do that as well.

Did you enable the MSF arpeggiator?Frankie.T wrote: Fri Feb 09, 2024 8:27 pmI tried inserting Serum after MSF but arp doesnt works. Do i need to enable something else?pelori wrote: Fri Feb 09, 2024 7:29 pm MSoundFactory outputs MIDI notes generated by its arpeggiator.

MPowerSynth can do that as well.
Here is how to setup on REAPER.
1. Insert MSF as track FX.
2. Enable the arpeggiator in MSF.
3. Insert VSTi(Serum) after MSF (in the same track FX chain).
4. Play chords with MIDI keyboard or something like that.
My environment:
- Windows 11
- REAPER v7.09 x64
- MAudioPlugins 16.11
If you use Mac or Linux, this way might not work...
(I can't confirm because I don't have these machines)

I'd still love if the tempo knob can be automated, cause right now is not visible on Reaper automation

You can assign it to a multi-parameter and automate that.Frankie.T wrote: Sat Feb 10, 2024 8:58 am I'd still love if the tempo knob can be automated, cause right now is not visible on Reaper automation

Tried and worked, thank you very much for the tips!
Anyway if Melda will provide a dedicated plugin with that parameter exposed will be better for everyone cause doesn't seems very user friendly all that procedures, expecially for newcomers

Id definately like to see a midi generator from melda. It would be mad. And not a crazy ask seeing as we have mdrummer, or whatever its called

Thanks for prompting the discussion with the request and thanks to all who contributed their helpful tips. Yesterday I finally got around to trying MPowerSynth as an arp source for other hosted software synths. It worked!! I was especially delighted to see Channel (Arpeggiator) as an exposed parameter.
This allows me to select any of up to 16 destinations with a midi distribution tool I have been working on. Today, I gave it a try in MSoundFactory. It works!!
Not sure if it's worthwhile for Melda to have a dedicated Arpeggiator (maybe as part of a MMidiFXBundle or MMidiTool?) but I'm happy to know how they can be done in MPS and MSF.

The MSF Arp works well in Bitwig Linux. I make the Arp output on channel 2. On another track I use a Note Receiver set to the MSF track followed by a Channel Map that translates channel 2 to channel 1, then I put a synth, like ACE for instance, and the Arp notes are received and played.
I still think an actual dedicated MArpeggiator, an actual Arp product, could offer a more complete feature set. and less screen clutter.

On a related note, I'd love to see the input midi filter (the one that maps your device's velocity curve) from MDrummer available in MSF or as a standalone. I've already mentioned this but I think it would be great to have this tool available more broadly.
