Another new feature request - splitting MIDI

I just had this idea this morning :
I'm using Emulator X, and as such, I sometimes stumble across a Kit patch, where all drums are stored as a single instrument.
Now, if I want separate audio drum parts, since all the drums are going out through the same output (I know you can load separate instrument to different output if needed, but in case of a single instrument ???) either I have to compose by tracks (say I put the bass drum on track1, snare on track2 aso, but it is a real PITA to do it) then render, either I grab an existing drum midi clip, but I have to copy each note (bass drum, etc) to a single midi clip situated on another track (painful too), then render.
Thus my request : a "Split to tracks" function, which with a single button would do the same as "select all notes in the same range, on midiclip1"+"cut"+"create midiclip2 starting at cursor, on the track below, with same properties as midiclip1"+"copy clipboard".
And you could do that with an entire midi clip, the "process" splitting each "key" (and all notes on that same key) to a new midi clip below.
1st : is this clear enough ?
2nd : is this easy to do ?
3rd : am I the only one not using multi outs and not wanting a gated reverb on my entire Kit ? ?

It sounds to me like what you're looking for is something to re-map outputs (or channel numbers) by note.
Have you looked through the plugins hosted here to see if you can find a MIDI Mapper plugin?

It's still not an automatic solution like Cubase has with its "unmerge MIDI" function, but these plugins will make life a little easier:

So the answer is to set up a that is just a MIDI thru.
Install that rack on 2 tracks. On the first track, add the MIDI note range filter and output that to your synth with the gated reverb, then on the other track, use another range filter that covers the rest of your drum notes.
I'll try to get screen shots tonight. send me a message through the forum here if you need more help with that.

This was exactly what I was looking for, a big time saver indeed.
Tomxp411, it's alright, I figured the modus operandi, so I do not need screenshots. Spare your free time to help someone else
Thanks a lot to all of you.
