ZioMau is a beast! Here is my late af entry that is just a tune in the spirit of OSC.....I started it many months ago with the hopes of an any synth month but things went a slightly awry (sorry PeterH) and never finished it...even though this any synth month finally arrived...totally missed the memo!
I used Serum on the track, all patches from init. If I don't post it, it will just become another track of TNS dust. Hopefully, someone will like it.... maybe? https://soundcloud.com/the-never-scene/ ... al_sharing

Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression

Sorry everyone that I was not able to vote. I thought I would make it yesterday, but life gets in the way unexpectedly.

Congrats to the winners and all participants!
I was unable to give any 2s or 1s (except for mine), the quality of this OSC is so high!
Cheers, Björn

Only replying because you mentioned me. Was there anything? Can't remember. You have 12 days left to get your #180 entry in. Go!TheNeverScene wrote: Sat Feb 17, 2024 3:37 am [...] I started it many months ago with the hopes of an any synth month but things went a slightly awry (sorry PeterH) and never finished it [...]

Congrats to the winners.
My voting style was to try to get a graduated 'rating' across all positions. For me, 1 point doesn't mean 'bad', it's all relative. There were no bad entries.

It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

I think for sure next time it should list which synth was used in the title of the song (for a contest where you get to choose your own synth). I probably would have judged differently had I known which synth was used (and I don't have the time to sift through 25+ pages and 60+ entries to cross-reference everything and figure out what synth was used where). Almost all of the top entries used supersynths that are basically unlimited as far as sound design. I would probably judge these entries harder and judge entries using limited synths more gently. Also if I knew something was a single instance entry, I'd probably judge that more gently too.

I like this one! I didn't know the PolyMax can sound like this.cdbaksu wrote: Thu Jan 18, 2024 11:37 pm https://soundcloud.com/cdbaksu/biz-osc179
I used 35x UAD PolyMAX (new to me, I love this "little" synth) in Logic Pro.

Thanks, yeah I love PolyMAX. Has a real nice fat sound and very easy to work with!LunarKitten wrote: Sun Feb 25, 2024 10:33 amI like this one! I didn't know the PolyMax can sound like this.cdbaksu wrote: Thu Jan 18, 2024 11:37 pm https://soundcloud.com/cdbaksu/biz-osc179
