TW12: Master track volume curve not working for me.

Today, I tried to add a fade-out to my project using the master track's volume curve. I configured the curve by adding nodes and creating a downwards gradient at the end of the music, as usual. I've done this in the past with no problems, but it's not having any effect on my current project; there is no fade-out happenning on any of the tracks (which are mostly audio tracks). I tried closing and relaunching the program but the issue remains. Can anyone suggest what I might be overlooking? Many thanks!

Are you sure that you haven't got a clip way off screen to the right? This has caught me out a few times. The fadeout is calculated to the end of the very last clip in the edit.

Yes, I had a whole bunch of muted clips, off to the right. That's where I keep my "might be needed" clips. I didn't think this would affect the behaviour of the master volume curve. I'm really puzzled, if it does, but thank you for pointing it out!operandx wrote: Sun Jan 14, 2024 3:43 pm Are you sure that you haven't got a clip way off screen to the right? PS. Even without any clips off to the right, I still get this problem sometimes, so I guess that was not the cause.
Update: The problem sometimes disappears if I delete the variable parameter line and configure a new one. Other time, ot disappears if I close TW and then reopen it.

I'm still experiencing this, occasionally. Nothing I can think of is getting the master track volume curve to create a fade-out, today. I tried deleting all points on curve and recreating the fade. I dried restarting TX. I tried swicthing off the Automation Write Mode button. None of this cured it. Anyone got any ideas?

I recently had this problem with a plugin automation. Turned out I had turned off automation reading w/o even knowing such a control existed. Key H to toggle it on and see if that helps.

This is why I bounce tracks to a different track, which is much easier to automate. The problem with the master bus is that it doesn't always cooperate with rendering, fade outs, fade ins, etc. And if you change your mind later, the master track can be very, very difficult to correct or change.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.
