I don't remember if there was a workaround for the finalmix bug; I'm not even sure if what I have here is the known bug so here goes: I set final mix on a master track, choose one of the preset, then after a while the sound would change as FM has lost all link to the presets, FM presets lists shows nothing. I have to close and reopen T, sometime more than once, before FM gets its presets list back. It's especially annoying when you render something and it doesn't sound like it's supposed to because FM changed settings on it's own :x .

I await suggestions.

BTW, is Mackie ever going to fix that thing?

never happened to me :-o

only bug I'm aware of is presets not appearing in the list.. which happens to me sometimes, but not others: I have yet to discern a pattern..

Your sound should not be different. It'll recall the settings, but in the area where it says the patch name, it will either be blank (if it's not finding your presets directory) or it'll say "Acuma CD Mastering" (the default). The actual settings should still be the same.

The workaround for the rest is to use the menu to 'load final mix' (preset, though they don't say that) and browse to the factory presets directory. They'll then all be listed in the "user presets" bank and you can scroll through them.

A frickin' mess if you ask me, but the plug-in's still worth it until it gets fixed.

Something must be messed up on my install, because it happened again, ie: FM lost the link to it's presets, reverted to the default "Acuma cd mastering" and changed the settings accordingly :( .
And while I can load a preset if I browse to it once FM lost the link, the presets list still remains blank untill I restart T...

This bug has been reported for how long a time now? And still no fix? :x

Don't blame Jules. ;) I haven't wanted to rail against it, because I've been using it without troubles. When I e-mailed Mackie, they said they were working on "tighter integration of Acuma plug-ins" (ie. not just Final Mix, I'm hoping!!) with T2.

umm.. not sure if this a do-able workaround, but if you are done with the track, might try freezing it?
