I’ve never heard a Kiive plugin I liked enough to keep installed - alternatives have always been better. How is nfuse better than all the previous Kiive plugins (if it is)?bmanic wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 2:38 pmSame here. I'm exactly in the same boat. The good thing going for this one is that at least both of the compressors aren't "weird" (though their Distressor was decent but not superb imho). The Neve compressor sounds really good and is useful, perhaps nothing special though. The SSL is a bit disappointing as they just made a basic SSL buscomp instead of the really interesting high frequency limiter that is on the real unit.. but it seems like this may be added at some point in an update.vitocorleone123 wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 3:41 pmI’ve never heard a Kiive plugin I liked enough to keep installed - alternatives have always been better. However, what makes the NFuse so cool is how the sum of it's parts makes it a very effective tool to quickly shift an audio source from one end of the extreme to another.. and it seems to have plenty of available "mojo" in various different flavors. I need to test it some more but it seems that simply by choosing between the N and F modes you get a very different "sonic fingerprint", even if you swap in all the opposite modules. Anyhow, that's my quick assessment so far. But I do need more time with this.

They had their 'P' logo from 2017 predating yours and I can go on their website and see exactly who they are and their experience, this isn't all one way. Why not address some of the other issues like the stock JUCE DSP which anyone can go check for themselves?P900 wrote: Mon Mar 04, 2024 8:13 pm Why don't you ask the other company why they chose Pulsar knowing that Pulsar Modular exists?

The average GS user according to KVR: this plugin is a revelation and if you can't hear it you're an amateur with KRK Rokits in an untreated room. You HEATHEN.
The average KVR user according to GS: omg lol everyone who likes Pulsar Modular is a cult follower and complete idiot buying overpriced plugins hardly worth 10% of their asking price.
Reality: sure, these people exist, because the loud and dumb minority exists everywhere you go, but I imagine like 95% of people try the demo for themselves and either like it or don’t while being perfectly understanding of and most importantly almost indifferent about people with other opinions and experiences.

Just leave them to the circle jerk.
Clearly all the records made before the Pulsar Modular revolution are inferior - or consider this, maybe no one will, or ever could, notice? Or indeed care.
The earlier analogy made in this thread sums it up: if there is a naked crazy person screaming he's the messiah in a town square he'll soon have 12 naked disciples screaming along with him.
The End.

AFAIR, the "cult" members in this thread were put on the defensive, not the other way around. While being defensive isn't great (what exactly are you defending here?), it'd be better if we just didn't attack people in the first place.midi sentinel wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 1:50 pm It's a hobby. Pulsar Modular started before 2017. I actually met Pulsar Audio when they were first forming the company and mentioned to them that the company name might cause issues.stillenacht wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 5:20 pm They had their 'P' logo from 2017 predating yours and I can go on their website and see exactly who they are and their experience, this isn't all one way. He said he was leaving for good like 12 pages back, didn’t he? I don’t understand why people are spending so much time and energy on hate. Why care what others do or don’t do if it doesn’t affect you in any way? The same goes for the „check your ears if you can't hear it“ people.Uncle E wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 5:59 pmCouldn't just leave it without getting one last jab in?Kappa_Beta_Hi-Phi wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 12:35 pm Maybe those of us who have been critical should just step off now? Yeah, but I have zero doubt that he would have had achieved it just as well without it.
(Just to make sure: this isn't meant as a dis towards the plugin in question - it's just that a) due to a lack of a comparable version of the mix without it and b) trust in bmanic's respective abilities I personally simply see no reason to assume it was the PM plugin making all the difference)

If people are offered several differently sounding mixes, then it is NOT an opinion, but a verifiable fact. So if anyone claims there was no difference, then it is not an opinion, but a problem for the one who can't hear it. Checking the ears after checking the setup would be the rationale and correct advice.oneshotdeal wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2024 6:25 pm The same goes for the „check your ears if you can't hear it“ people.![]()
