Correct, not fully, however if you're in Logic, you can use PG-8X internal Logic .aupresets instead and patch recall works.jamcat wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 9:17 pmNot fully. Patch loading hasn't worked in years. I think that's why Martin discontinued the AU version.
PG-8X (2.0) released

Right. This is what I said about my attempts to load presets back in March:
jamcat wrote: Mon Mar 06, 2023 6:53 pm Loading presets seems very touch and go, at least in native Apple Silicon mode. Trying to import sysex banks into PG-8X causes my entire DAW to go *poof* in native with AU. I was able to very gingerly load a .PG8Xbank and then save individual presets into Studio One’s preset menu running Studio One in Rosetta2.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Here's a link to 25 PG-8X preset banks in .aupreset format: https://www.logicprohelp.com/forum/topi ... ent=771087
In Logic I use these exclusively and never mess with PG-8X's browser. Have had zero problems with projects recalling presets.
Hoping PG-8X gets a refresh before Rosetta goes away, which might be 2-4 years from now.

Hi everyone. I tried to install the PG-8X by following the instructions from the user manual, but it's not showing up in my Ableton Live 11 Suite. I have no idea what it is I'm doing wrong. I'm on a Mac Mini Intel Core, running Ventura 13.5.2
Any help or feedback would be much appreciated.

Hi,
I downloaded the Mac PG-8X VST from this website: https://sites.google.com/site/mlvst0/
And the (obsolete) UA version via https://www.dropbox.com/sh/e5oop1vf8vpl ... eezxa?dl=0
When I open Cubase 13, the PG-8X is in the "blocklist" with the message "No valid plugin". So I can't load it in Cubase.
In Logic X 10.79 I do get the plugin revalidated but as soon as I want to load a preset Logic shuts down.
Are these known issues and is there a workaround?

PG-8X is VST2 only. No PG-8X VST3 version available. Cubase 13 doesn't allow VST2 to run AFAIK.Progmatic-Studios wrote: Tue Feb 06, 2024 9:51 pmWhen I open Cubase 13, the PG-8X is in the "blocklist" with the message "No valid plugin". So I can't load it in Cubase.
You could try to run PG-8X VST2 with a wrapping plugin host like Kushview Element (public version is free) inside Cubase 13 and Logic 10.7.9.Progmatic-Studios wrote: Tue Feb 06, 2024 9:51 pmIn Logic X 10.79 I do get the plugin revalidated but as soon as I want to load a preset Logic shuts down.

any pro toolers here care to give a little aid in the install of this? seemed to easy to think dropping PG-8X.vst file into the MacHD/Library/Audio/Plugins/VST would magically allow the synth to show up in my instruments list in PT's. thanks!

ProTools only works with AAX plugins, so that won't work. You need an AAX plugin that can host VSTs, like Blue Cat Patchwork.
