Yep that is true, but it works fine.
If you don´t want to use a vst or tracktion you can use the other tips you have gotten so far ;)

I noticed this hasnt been mentioned but if you have a keyboard you have to try arp-x8!!

i used ot have one and i remember it had 50 arpeggiator patterns, and also, you coudlr ecord the patterns as midi data in your host. I am wondering if this will work the same way within Reason? it's just that sound of sound said soemthing about reason not doing midi out......
Well, the CS2X has 40 arp patterns, tempo can be synch to host if the host is such enabled, can be triggered from midi, you can subdivide the patern, there's arp hold function and can be split on the keyboard; There's some arpeggios who add filter and pan position modulation if you're using the onboard sound.

It doesn't crash!

This synth can be had very cheap now on the used market, about 1/5 of the original price, a bargain if you consider also it's a decent midi controller with it's 8 button plus pitch and mod wheel and pedal hookup.

It doesn't crash!

I've read some of the other suggestions, and they give me headaches; I don't know how much more versatile it can be using thoses, but that stuff is so easy on the CS2X.

Treat yourself ttoz, it's Christmas after all.

BTW, did I mention it doesn't crash?
