Thanks, for making these patches free.
The flutes could be improved but most instruments are very authentic. :tu:

Oh neat! Just saw that you released these for free. I'm not really into presets but a project like this is really interesting to me. Good work on the patches!
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

New update:

-Fixed small things here and there.
-Added short, long and stacc for violins (not sections).
-Fixed a bit the trombones that were a bit funky.

I don't have much time so bear with me with the slow additions
Regards.

edit: check it out. Thanks!

Hi!
Made a gazillion changes again, I think now the instruments sound more natural. I changed all areas, even improved Trumpets Trombones, New Violin Sections(patches with vibrato or not), better Violas, Tubas, remade wonky timpanis again, added preliminar solos for solo violins in progress(detuned ones, too). Taikos still to fix.

Now, if you hear something a bit Low, It's a work in progress. For timpanis I recommend a compression and a bit of flanger on the channel rack. For the rest just a bit of EQ to get tone clearly and a bit of reverb if you find it too dry.

BTW if you want to change vibrato on strings or other instruments, just change lfo1 values and vibrato in the module(s). If it sounds out of tempo change sync on LFO1. (this will be adjusted properly in the future, as all the modulation).

As always it's a wip but I hope you find a difference. I still have to rename all properly. It would be cool too if you want to post test or things done with this bank, so we can all see what you can squeeze out of it :).

regards.

PD: I'm all ears if it sounds horrible, a friend of mine(composer) is testing it and is quite happy with the sound.

edit: UPDATED.(8/27).

This is the new state of the bank (which I'll update soon). Took a small part of FF3 ending(21 minutes of absolute perfection). Here you can hear how it sounds... Added proper Solo violin BTW and VI and VII now sound better. Hope you like it! regards.

Hi. Long time no update.

After 7 years, I think I'm closing my interaction with Zebra for emulation of classical instruments. Really I have no more things to add or improve. Zebra has proven itself to be a magnificent Synth with PM capabilities(with combs but percussion and string wise it's a beast, also Msegs, take note PM synth devs...). I have ensemble patches lying around here of all kinds, and sometimes in the mix they sound as good as real ensembles(yes, really).

Now I'm working with PM synths as I find them way easier to work with. No more combs to add or scratch your head about. No more fiddling to find correct filters. Now you have exciters and resonators, with all instrument body types... can do plucks, blows, voices, percussion and in between. PM tech is very, very sensitive and can find your way to real emulation faster.(In my honest opinion).

I'll update last bank when I have time. Thanks for all your support you are all great.
See you soon on my next PM synths banks.

What PM Synths are you using?

Curious how Zebra 3 will perform in the Future.

I'm using Sakura from IL. It's integrated in my DAW fully and remembers me a lot of the old UGO synth "String Theory" but on steroids :D, of course price-wise it's cheap AND consumes very little resources (its a 2010 plugin) but the tools don't make the master!

You can have a listen on my soundcloud, have small tests there.
