From what I understand you drop the activepreset in your melda folder for MXXX active presets. Once you can load it, there is a second file called mpresets that has about 14 presets. Those you "import" once the device is loaded by pointing it to your folder. I had better luck putting it on my desktop and the preset file showed up there.
It's an "Acid" "303" inspired synth. I'll see how this goes and update some more info later. It's not really to their usual spec. The synth layout should be pretty self-explanatory though. I basically made it because I noticed there isn't a device for MSF like this and Acid's very popular. While a lot of synths happen to be able to produce this easily, this is more about focusing on the that style sound then expanding from that.
best,
-cd

Hi, I was able to get it running on this end doing this:
Once that midi input system is engaged you should be able to mess with the ARP tool so that it can generate patterns ideal for this type of sound. I will look into making a version of this with an ARP tool but it crashes MXXX at the moment when I try to include that in this tool.

Many thanks, really cool vid! Strangley that's exactly what I did yesterday, but it just didn't work. I thought there is a hidden button somewhere like "midi thru" in the settings. Anyhow, glad it finally works, because....
This synth is just excellent
Also well designed with all the effects being on the front page.
Why did you decide to use MXXX for it instead of MSF?

Thanks. I didn't have a way to export from MSF within MXXX. I just have MXXX and the lesser version of MSF. Long ago I got one of the MBundles and it included MXXX...which was great because it gave me access to all the MSF sounds, just not the full version of MSF. I can still make a GUI from this but will focus on some more synth ideas for the time being. I felt like "Acid" was missing from the MSF actually. ha. But I thought it was great that this loads things like an instrument as well.
