Harsh! How is this dodgy? You are punishing this guy by calling his business "dodgy" when the reality is he's running a one-man-gig to sell a very nice product at a very affordable price. So the website is minimal, who gives a sh** ? So the payment is processed by an external processor -- you know, like every other plugin store selling stuff in the universe. What the hell is 'dodgy' about any of this?

Support small devs. Especially when the products are made with passion, love for the source material, and affordable!

Instead, you come in here and discourage people from buying this because, even though YOU did, it's "dodgy" because it's not immediately obvious how to contact the dev? Meanwhile, the plugin works perfectly, payment is smooth, file download is immediate, there's no actual issues... ? What the hell...
The plugin is dodgy. It simply does not work correctly. Period.

It's only 15 euros but because there is a free alternative that works better how on earth could I recommend this? There are also no normal ways of contacting the developer, except apparently now PM's are possible through KvR.

As for supporting small devs, it's what I do, always.. but unlike you I'm not afraid of calling out broken shit and I'm not going to hype or forgive critical bugs just because somebody is a small developer. That would be stupid. I treat everybody equal no matter what the case would be. Broken is broken. Heck, I have no issues calling out broken stuff even if it's free or costs a million quid and was gifted to me. It's still time spent and thus people reading forums may get something useful out of the information.

Anti-aliasing filter is fixed. But the cool crunch really only comes to the fore when it's turned off.

Bummer.
Hi :) Developer here.

Glad to see people have been rating it!

There is no actual real antialiasing filter, my implementation is actually pretty lax when it comes to aliasing, because i think this is one of the magical things about the sound of the Amiga. In Amigo, when you change the sample rate, the plugin applies a filter at the correct frequency (this is the closest thing to an anti-aliasing filter) so 22k samplerate would apply a filter at 11k. Then the sample gets downsampled, and quantised to 8 bit. After this process, the wave will be stepped because of the quantization step, so techincally the source doesn't contain any frequency content higher than nyquist (samplerate / 2), but you're introdcucing that frequency content by playing back a stepped signal.
Idk if that made any sense haha!

This means playback in Amigo is just like playing 8-bit pcm on your Amiga!
I think this strikes a good balance between authenticity, and simplicity.

You should add Amigo to the KVR PDB: https://www.kvraudio.com/developer/potenzadsp

Also have to remind people, there is a Protracker Clone with Amiga output (not just bitcrusher like people seem to think lol)

One can setup the daw to record the output of pt-clone :)

Feature request .
In slice moe , the ability to playback each slice to the end of file instead of only the slice region ( obviously gate mode still apllies )

Dodgy, lol. The free version doesn't work better at all. This one sounds loads better and more akin to the original jungle sound as I remember it. I think your ears are broken, mate, not the plugin. Works fine for me, doesn't sound "dodgy" at all. The version you won't stop going on about sounds like it's in the ballpark but not exact, in other words, it sounds dodgy.

Also works fine over here .

Agree. Seems like some people here have never made jungle or used hardware samplers. If that is the case, this plugin is not for them anyway. It works fine for me on a MacBook Pro. I can deal with some small bugs if they pop up. But people are already making tracks with this sampler and loving it. Maybe not here, but this forum has a lot more nitpickers instead of people who get down to business.

Post

People are literally nitpicking about so-called nitpicking, so no one is safe from the same criticism they're giving.

The contact info is a big one. Everyone is free to spend how they want, but maybe the dev is open to changing things up. It seems that this is the first product of theirs to garner so much attention.

Also, bmanic brought up some specific issues in what host and what OS.

So, while "dodgy" seems to be triggering, it's not like he's trashing something just for the fun of it.

i bought it, no issues, works great, love it

At the bottom of the purchase receipt it says:
Have any questions? Please contact info [at] potenzadsp [dot] com
So not sure why people are thinking he's hiding this information :ud:

EDIT just saw you mentioned the purchase receipt.

I'm not here to preach that you should believe this is a bad thing, but for me not seeing a way to contact the developer for support-related issues prior to purchasing is an issue.

Knowing that its on the purchase receipt is good to know, but I still think there's room for improvement.

I only see the link to the Instagram page.

Anyway, just because I see some sensitivity here. Let me be clear... I have nothing against the developer and wish them great success. I also hope they can add things like a contact page. If not, that's their choice too.

Back to the plugin itself: it's amazing.
Please extend the sample rate and up the bit depth.

The one thing bmanic is right about is the fautly waveform update .
Set cycle to 2000 and length between 1000-2000 , the wavform update does not reflect the what is being heard .
But I am not sure this is bug , since a high cycle is probably crossfading large portions and therefore can not accurately portray the waveform

Neato. I like these kinds of things. Does it have any silly limitations for sample length or stereo?
