Hey,
just bought sfz+ from ttoz, wondering how I can wire it up to use the separate midi channels, 1-16? How would I set it up for poly instrument use? Any tips?
Thanks

You can load it into a Rack filter and then access the multiple outputs.
There are tutorials on Rack filters at www.adbe.org

T sets MIDI channel by clip, rather than by track like most sequencers..

i know and i already hooked up sfZ+ into the racks, but not quite sure how i'd set it up to send through per midi channel in. Thats what im talking about. Possible methods to set up within the rack so i can actually drag the midi in to a track and make it automatically filter into sfz+ as a specific midi channel, without changing it manually every 2 seconds.

I'm not totally sure what the problem is, but anyway..
I would set up one track with your sfz rack on it, and then <16> others, all routed to the first one.
You can now set up each track with a different MIDI channel (if thats what you want) by simply ensuring that all the clips on each track share the same channel setting..
Is that any use?

okay so say I wanted the keyboard to be playing a certain channel, though. I would have to manually change it to the specific channel? Would there be a way to just set up each track to filtering in as a specific channel? I have a load of midi tool vsti's from my wiring up of "Revisit", im wondering maybe if i set midi channelizer on the track before the rack came in.... i think i almost just answered my question
do you see what i mean?

If this midi channelizer does what I guess it does, you want one on each MIDI track (ie: between the MIDI clips and the sfz rack)
This should make T behave like Cubase* in that each track wil have its own channel and your MIDI controller channel will become largely irrelevant.
* don't worry, it won't empty your wallet while making you forget what you enjoyed about making music in the first place.

So I'm not the only one who tried Cubase for 5 minutes, then sat back and wondered with all the hype was? I helped a friend set up his MOTU digital audio box and it took us an hour just to figure out how to get the ASIO drivers to see all 10 inputs on the thing. Tracktion saw it instantly, as does Cakewalk.platinumears wrote:* don't worry, it won't empty your wallet while making you forget what you enjoyed about making music in the first place.

Actually I earn my living with Cubase (VST)Tomxp411 wrote:So I'm not the only one who tried Cubase for 5 minutes, then sat back and wondered with all the hype was?
I only looked at other apps out of disgust at SX missing out half the MIDI features I had got used to (even from my old Atari version
Now I know T, I'm buggered if I'll use anything else for my own stuff
