Yes, I also bougth the upgrade already but despite activating Biotek several times after launching W13, still the message of "Unlock, 7 days left". I hope that could be solved on the next days. Anyway, all the sounds on Biotek are also available on "Attracktive". I also acquired several Biotek libraries last year and Attracktive is now a powerhouse of sounds, great for my ambient-like style. When I've seen that Biotek was included I couldn't believe it !

Yes Biotek is for me a very underrated Synth and great for sound designers.

I've been playing around with a project since its released earlier today. I've made it a point to use several third party plugins that have given me trouble in the past. So far not a crash or glitch once. I know there is still a lot of testing to go but this is a good sign for me as stability has always been my biggest critique of the software. So far things are looking good with this version.

"Multiple takes or versions across different scenes" ... maybe?

I think he means adding extra takes to a Comp clip. It's a pity this wasn't added. However, there is lots of good stuff that has been added such as Tape Style recording mode which has been requested by several users in the past.
Yes, I meant the normal action of recording some takes, then later deciding I want to record some additional ones without losing the exisiting ones (I do that all the time). Baffling enough Traccktion still can't do such a simple thing with V13.

I am also seeing this issue.

Select the clip and look on the "MIDI Clip - name" tab of the panel along the bottom of the window (assuming it is correctly expanded and not in the collapsed view), or look at the "Actions" tab of the "Actions" panel they added a few versions back if you left that visible. There is a "Length" property that can be found in both places.

Just threw together a track, trying to use the clip view a bit (learning curve for me, in philosophy). I ran like a top, honestly. I haven't used a bunch of plugins yet, but is was a clean first run. (Pro 13 Trial).

How long is the sale on?

Make sure you give Biotek 2 a try... They've added that monster of a synth to the PRO tier. :o

Possible bug: the Arranger, Tempo, Marker, and Chord tracks don't toggle on or off

Windows 10
Waveform Pro 13.0.32

EDIT: As noted below, the "Global tracks" need to be visible as a group to be toggled individually.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

Use this button to show the global tracks. There is a coresponding menu item in the "View" menu, too.

You can create your own key mapping for this eg alt-g. Go to Settings-> Keyboard shortcuts -> Show or hide global tracks

Ok I'm trying the 13 Pro demo. I'm kind of in the middle on this one. I have no need for a clip launcher, the Wavetable synth is nice but simply can't compete with other the WT synths in my folder and it's not really fair to expect it to compete with third party synths.

The new color options came up a little short as we still don't have user definable colors for the Clips and Midi Notes although the new color scheme features have allowed me to make a theme that I find pleasing and they did at least add a neutral color for the clips so that will do for now.

All in all I think for $59.40 I'll purchase the update. Just being able to have the latest version, the ability to use that new theme I cobbled together, and to support further development is reason enough to upgrade.

Off to purchase the upgrade now.....

EDIT: I had $4 Tracktion cash so that brought the upgrade to $55.40 which is pretty much no brainer territory. The upgrade applied instantly in the Tracktion Download Manager so the demo is now activated and the process was fast and painless. They did issue an apology for the delay on their Facebook page so fanboi mode reactivated. On to the future with Waveform Pro 13 and beyond. :tu:

Its not just a "clip launcher", it can also record your own clips in either audio or midi form. It makes for a fun way to jam and sketch something out. I guess its only of use in this way if you like to play stuff in live from a keyboard or midi device.

I'm kind of coming to the same conclusion. There isn't really all that much there for me in this new version. But overall it looks and feels just a little more refined to me.

Overall it has come a long way and there's a lot on offer. It seems just a shame to me that audio-recording still isn't really there yet (for the reason I mentioned earlier) plus some UI-things are still quite wierd:

- no way to tint the track-headers without also tinting the timeline-background it seems?

- no option to have mute/solo on the track-headers?

- also no buttons for this and other stuff on the "Actions Panel" - it's a lot like a typical inspector, just less comfortable to use and less friendly to look at

- minimum width of the Actions Panel much too wide

- no option to autohide the Actions Panel either like the browser?

That's just some interface stuff I noticed when trying out V13 that could imo still really use some further refinement.

But again: it has come a long way and has a lot going for it.

Oh, forgot something important:

- no visual mute/solo indication on the tracks whatsoever // that's almost a deal-breaker of sorts for me
