That is exactly what we are becoming - as of today.chk071 wrote: Tue Apr 02, 2024 4:04 pm Sure, but, the point is, when I bought the highest tier Studio One version, I thought I had bought something unrestricted, unlimited, and now they begin to make more and more content Studio One+ exclusive. Which tells me that they want people to subscribe. Which tells me that, as an owner of the perpetual license, I'm a second class citizen, although I spent hundreds of €. Not a good development.
Now - personally I am probably just having a "first day slap in the face reality check" kinda vibe on this - but I think after a few days - it will not matter.
One bonus that is the most importnat of all - is that my "perpetual license" is still cheaper than the newer Hybrid - so I need to ask myself - does this dinky little new "free" synth really matter in the long run - I am thinking no.
If I am feeling frosty about it - I will simply fire up Diva or Omnisphere and put those feelings to bed.
But if the day comes where there is a marked difference in "functionality" between S1 vX Pro and S1+ vX "Hybrid" Pro - that is a difference conversation with a more serious response.
