At this point I would even take a Cherry Audio JX-8P emulation. Pffff...I'd even give DiscoDSP another chance if they made one. Maybe.

Nope

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

And it's going to be a CPU hog and not sound that much better than PG-8X (might even not nail it as close as Martin did, too)

There’s always a chance that TAL-Software could give it a go. It would be an Instabuy! But I’ve always wondered why someone would want to go with a Roland JX-8P instead of just moving straight to a Roland Super JX-10. I actually owned a Roland JX-8P, and was not too impressed, to be honest.

I agree the JX-10 would be the way to go.audiojunkie wrote: Wed Apr 03, 2024 10:26 pm But I’ve always wondered why someone would want to go with a Roland JX-8P instead of just moving straight to a Roland Super JX-10.

It runs on many modern machines and modern DAWs. Just not necessarily on a Mac.

Why? It still works and it still sounds f**king great. I use it fairly regularly.
It already does.

Not all audio professionals use Mac.
