At this point I would even take a Cherry Audio JX-8P emulation. Pffff...I'd even give DiscoDSP another chance if they made one. Maybe.

Post

I wonder what Softube has in store next time.

Post

Isn't PG-8X open source already?
Intel Core2 Quad CPU + 4 GIG RAM

Nope

Saddest thread in KVR. Where plugin dreams go to die.

I feel like its only a matter of time before Arturia takes on the JX-8P.

And it's going to be a CPU hog and not sound that much better than PG-8X (might even not nail it as close as Martin did, too) :)

There’s always a chance that TAL-Software could give it a go. It would be an Instabuy! But I’ve always wondered why someone would want to go with a Roland JX-8P instead of just moving straight to a Roland Super JX-10. I actually owned a Roland JX-8P, and was not too impressed, to be honest.

But it would run on a modern machine with a modern DAW.

I agree the JX-10 would be the way to go.

It runs on many modern machines and modern DAWs. Just not necessarily on a Mac. :D

So gamers are set, just not audio professionals :tu:

Why? It still works and it still sounds f**king great. I use it fairly regularly.

Not all audio professionals use Mac. In fact, more often than not true audio professionals are not content with fixed configurations Apple offers, which then results in them resorting to custom built PCs in the end. Imagine that.
