It is almost guaranteed they've overhyped and will under deliver. That's the nature of these promotional, timed released events. But I find it can still be interesting to watch..

Yeh the left blank spot is questionable , more knobs and faders would have made a lot more sense there.VitaminD wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2024 2:39 pm It really does look like a hardware Analog Lab. Basic controls for more common adjustments but not enough for serious sound shaping. They will probably expect that to happen on a PC or tablet maybe.
Looks pretty straightforward though.

Sounds like their trying to narrow down on the stage guys now, this might be interesting if they get the keybed right. This is interesting, I'd say this will pretty much take Komplete Kontrol out the game knowing NI how slow they are to react, physical modelling vs samples, I'd prefer the Arturia.
61 keys though ?

Yes because the broad customer base which includes you and me btw wants a hardware Analog Lab with less controls than the budget Keylab controllers and a tiny screen stolen from the Nest ThermostatVitaminD wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2024 1:03 pm.
Yet the answer is maybe, maybe not. But it isn't about me. It isn't about you either, shockingly. It is about the broad customer base. Obviously Arturia have done enough research to trust there is a market for whatever they are launching.
My guess is the broad customer base will look at this and go nope
There is nothing remotely useful with this. It's still computer centric and you need an app which when Arturia abandons this as they have done with prior products many times like the Origin, the Spark, etc and the app doesn't work on your new phone OS this will be even more of a joke

I wouldn't want to be stuck using Arturia virtual instruments only for live playing, their bread and butter sounds like organ and piano are not that great.

Yup- that screen is a total fail for me, If I am playing live I hate having to wear my reading glasses, its just not rock and roll! I guess if you compose with V Collection only and want to take that on stage without a laptop this is for you...just not sure how many people like that there are...but what do I know!Vortifex wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2024 4:22 pm Well I'm very much a studio person so it's not for me. That screen is tiny tho, how tf are you supposed to see that on stage?
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I'm mostly interested in knowing what's under the hood. Did they port everything to Linux and some custom chip?
e: also that tiny knobscreen is gonna get so smudged with fingerprints

They have an 88 key version (as well as a mini) listed on the bluetooth cert link shared around this thread. So maybe in the future?trusampler wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2024 4:14 pm Sounds like their trying to narrow down on the stage guys now, this might be interesting if they get the keybed right.
